Hi All
Haven't been in for a couple of weeks as haven't been able to get onto site - everytime I tried page got stuck - perhaps becos' it's so busy on here? Who knows.
Anyway, Warrior AKA Arrow carried out their threat to issue a CCJ against us - got the paperwork last week and posted it to Payplan as requested for them to fill in the necessary bits. I was dreading it landing but it's arrival was better than I though - the only problem now is that I can't get hold of my flaming case officer either by email or phone to make sure it's landed okay so I'm kind of frantic about that.
Today we've received a letter from DH's current acc ref overdraft saying we haven't made this month's agreed payment - news to me so checked justabank and the payment is showing 'NO' in red under status and payment appears to have come back - if we don't pay it within 5 days they'll want the whole amount and will consult solicitors which is the LAST thing I need right now and I'm almost climbing the walls in frustation!
Again no luck with talking to case officer (gave up on phone after 15 mins and left message for urgent call back) and just get a bog standard reply email when I email her so I can safely say I am WELL and TRULY wound up right now as I haven't a clue what's going on!
Other than that all appears to be going okay - I do feel better on the whole. I still panic when phone rings and I still feel physically sick coming home till I've checked the mail but all in all I do feel better - it's just the knowledge that I've got 10 years of this ahead of me that drags me down somedays but I guess I'll be a lot stronger when it's all over and I certainly won't be someone who relies on credit ever again!
Anyway, hope this all finds you well - thinking of you all and hoping things are good for you. Take care.

btw,
its gone real quiet on here the last few days.dont know where all the regs are.hope everyone is ok and everything is going alright.bit of an anti-climax when the dmp settles down cos in the beginning you get so hyper with the stress and the fone call fear then when they accept(hopefully) you seem to get back to normal(whats that???) in a strange kind of way and just plod on making the payments.then 6 months on it seems to start all over again to see if anythings changed.
well thats my op for what its worth.

Hi ILGD,
I am here! No post today, but dreading somthing from the nationwide popping through the post!!! They really are nasty.
I have not heard from some of my creditors but can't face phoning to find out if they accept at the moment, will have a go soon.
When do things settle? I am only on month 2 and feel it never will, there always seems to be a nasty lurking just when I think I have had a good day or two.
I hope everyone keeps posting, I can't get on here much but I like to read them all when I do.

The nationwide are pure evil ba'turds personified......! and that's on a good day. I've been on a DMP with CCCS sinc jan 06 and nationwide are the only one's who are being tw'ts!......however, if you play them at their own game you can win, or at least I have. Gave them a real good kicking on Friday the 13th of April.
We had a loan with them ( £7028 owed) and when the DMP kicked in we obviously defaulted. They used the usual harrasing tactics of telephoning up to 15 times a day including weekends and even after 10 pm.
I found out that this was harrasment so told them they had to put everything in writing but before that i gave them a new telephone number to call me on, a mobile that was set to divert...to a telephone sex chat line. I did change it occasionally to phone in competition or a horse racing tips line or the talking clock.
they then defaulted on me and passed it to a solicitors who were so inept it made me weep with joy each time they sent a letter. Eventually they went for a CCJ with a second charge on the house. They got a judgement of £97 a month which was well more than the £38.19 we were paying through CCCS. I then got a redetermination order and went to court. The solicitor for the nationwide asked if I had been in the courts before and when I sdaid no I was cared etc he proceeded to "tell me what will happen" as in the court will grant the second charge and we don't need to make payments untiol we sell the house.
In front of the judge I objected to the second charge, also the amount that was made payable and I won. The second charge was thrown out, the instalment order payments were made for £38.19 a month and the solicitor was sent off twitering to himself about being stuffed.....
I'm now on the offensive with the nationwide and going after them for the bank charges and when I get the judgement for them i'm going to demand they pay the charges by cheque and not credit my overdraft......
I feel good....i knew that i would now.... I FEEL GOOD !!!!!!!0 -
I am really worried now reading some posts.
I have been doing my own DMP with the use of letters from National Debt Helpline - we started in June last year and the last one finally accepted in January this year and I got some of the charges refunded back into the account on that one.
Thing I am asking is that quite a few of you seem to be facing CCJ's is this after you have had accepted payments on DMP or is it with companies that never accepted lower payments? Also some of my companies are still with the originals like Lloyds - can they then make me go to court after settling on a DMP or do they just pass to debt collection agencies.
Also if you have a debt collection agency and they accept payments and you always make them on time can they do CCJ's?
Sorry don't understand the CCJ system and really don't fancy itscarey stuff!

Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't been around much. Been really busy and had something good keeping my mind off it all (a show at school). However, it finished tonight and now I feel really down. I hate this rollrcoaster. I've had to face reality again and it's not good. I got a nasty letter from Natwest threatening all manner of things. Made me realise that this DMP isn't easy and as someone said above, it's gonna drag on for 15 years or so which is a very bad thought. Also feeling a bit lonely. Does anyone else feel like that at times? I moved to a new area for my job and am finding it hard to settle in (I'm a sociable person - honestly!). Making me think I should move back home, although it would be a shot in the professional foot. Hmm...
Oh dear, I don't come on for ages and then, when I do, I moan non-stop!
Hello to all the new people, congrats to those who have had good news (acceptances etc), sorry to those who haven't (what a nightmare about your car newlywed).
I'm gonna go now as I don't want to spread my down-in-the-dumpness to everyone else.
Speak soon when I'm in a smilier mood.

I feel like that I reckon at best I can knock about 1k a year off my debts, which gives me 17-18 years of it
Which is why I know very naughty I figured £20 into my budget a month for lottery tickets, I do it online one a month for 5 weeks - I need hope and sometimes I win if its a tenner it stays in the account and next month its only £10 for my hope!
Anyway I am taking over - just thought I would say it is very sobering the post man coming and reality checks are horrid and chin up all in it together!0 -
Thanks rayday, chin up is good advice. Tomorrow is another day.
I've never been lucky with the lottery, but wish you all the best with your tickets :TMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335
