Not sure i can help with ppi on your mint loan,we were told by payplan to cancel any ppi on credit cards. But not on our loans as they can re-issue a new loan with a much higher rate. Not absolutely sure of this as i'm a newbie to DMP,but hopefully someone will correct me if i'm wrong, lol.
All the PPI is cancelled on the cards. Just thought that as some banks seemed to remove it and others issued a new loan, I'd give it a try.I'm fully expecting the answer to be Nope, but if I can get the payments reduced then the DFD comes nearer.

Lets us know how you get on.If it works for you i might give it a try,it's worth a try just to get all our debts paid off. Please don't quote me on the ppi on loans as i said i'm a novice.

Hi.
craftingqueen. My first payment goes out to Payplan on the 1st May. From what i can gather ,via emails with my case officer, is that they recieve your payment and then when the money is clear this is when they approach your creditors with offers and paperwork.
I would just like to add that Payplan so far have been very good. I sent letters I recieved ,via scanning, and attached onto email to get the ball rolling in regards to balances. I posted the original copies off today. It is nice to get all the balances confirmed but from what I can gather and what i have read on this site it may be a few weeks or even months before the creditors agree the DMP.
Roll on the phone calls and letters etc as i am prepared for them (I think)
Good luck to you
Since i have started this DMP i have felt in more control than i have for a very long time. I agree 99% of this comes from this site and without it i would be worrying and struggling and burying my head in the sand.
COME ON !!!!!!!

It's great isn't it to be able to share. It's the postie every morning and the phone calls. But i know that it's something we have to go through,i guess so hopefully see some sort of light at the end of a very long debt tunnel.
We have been living on £40-£50 for shopping for a family of 7, which has been so hard. But with payplan's help we can have bit more to be able use for shopping each week.

Hi everyone
How are you all ?
I have spent the entire day cleaning and sorting my DDs bedroom. Decided that now I am finally dealing with my debt it's time to tackle the house.
It's gonna take a while but like the debts I will get there eventually.
I have made two payments to CCCS up to now and I feel so much better for it. I actually have more money now than I did before as the payments I was making to creditors before totalled about £600 per month. Now I pay CCCS £197 PM and so can afford to live without having to use credit cards for basics like food. It feels fantastic to know that i haven't used a credit card since before christmas!!
It's a long road ahead but with the support from this thread, and CCCS I can definately see a light at the end of my long tunnel.DEBTS @ 1/1/07 - £25,800:eek: DEBT @ 04/05/11 - NIL
FINALLY DEBT FREE - 4TH MAY 2011:j:j:j:j:j

Hi.
craftingqueen My god you have done well to feed a family of 7 on a max £50 per week:T Should be no problem with you budgeting wise.
teecee I am like you. My payments before DMP were £650. Now they will be £308. It will be nice to pay less but i really must get my head around budgeting properly. Mind you i have set up 2 saving accounts and i will put into them for xmas/birthdays and car tax/mot etc. I do not want to be hit with my car tax and have no money to pay for it as my usual get out (credit card) will not be there.
It is nice to look to the future and know that if I have not got the money I cannot have. I have the usual trappings of a very comfortable home and ,in some ways it will be nice to go out for walks, wood and down the park with my children instead of using PS2/Nintendo etc as babysitters. I can see myself coming out of this a stronger person and a better Father and Partner.
It will be nice to have the theme park days out once in a while but it will be nice to get back to the family days of old that i can remember when we only went camping in the UK but the fun and memorys are with me still..
Sorry went astray there.
Thanks
