This post from another thread just made me burst into tears. By someone called ZTD. Wanted to share it with you guys....
Choose Debt. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a credit score. Choose a credit limit. Choose the picture on your card.
Choose a family. Choose a !!!!!!! big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose an overdraft.
Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose interest only mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose minimum payments.
Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of !!!!!!! fabrics. Choose a consolidation loan.
Choose a bigger television, faster cars and DVD players and more electrical tin openers. Choose another consolidation loan.
Choose when you get refused for a loan. Choose when you get demands for instant repayment. Choose defaults.
Choose constant phonecalls from 8am-11pm. Choose "agents" visiting your home while you're away and telling your neighbours. Choose the court for your CCJ. Choose the court for your bankruptcy. Choose the B&B your family will have to move into when you lose your home.
But no. You chose not to choose debt. You chose something else.
You chose peace-of-mind when the phone rings. You chose an easy feeling in your heart when opening the post. You chose to never be in the situation where you felt you'd be better off dead.
You chose to be debt-free.Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Smile...whatever happens, you've chosen to deal with your debts.
It will be fine, and at the end of it all, you're gonna be debt free. I know you are, just as I know I'm gonna be.
It's just going to take a wee while.
And I know you've been feeling down today, you're definitely not the usual chirpy bird you usually are. Hey, that's okay. It's what I'm here for anyway!
I guarentee I'll try to make things a bit better if I can...
Although at the moment, I've run out of easter eggs and there's nothing sweet in the house. I might have to eat some more toothpaste (mmm).
Anyway, that was just a quickie to let you know I care!
And with that, I must away into my bed...early start tomorrow.
But I'll be there tomorrow, don't you worryChuffed to be member 11 on the DMP mutual support thread.

Lost my 2 star virginity to smilealot and teecee. And no other two could have been better!0 -
Thanks Joek  It was the most enjoyable quickie I've ever been subject to (would've been better if teecee had been around too, of course) :rotfl:
For once it's not really the debt stuff that's really getting me down. I'm sure it will all be fine though, and if it's not, at least I'll get a free boob job and a nice payout from my insurance company to help clear my debts
On to more chirpy matters, I'm going to parcel up all the Ebay stuff I've sold over the weekend :j
Sleep well Joek :grouphug:
P.S. Well done to you and IDA on the CCCS/Payplan debate thread. I was a silent observer. I am a keen debator, but get a bit carried away when it gets heated and people don't know me well enough for that yet!!
P.P.S. No news from Ex or Sea yet :undecidedMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Hi
lonely.
As they say no news is good news. Same for me really no nasty calls or letters YET!.
Logged on to my bank today and at least all of my token payment cheques have been cashed. Least they cannot say they have not been notified of my problems.

Hi everyone,
Got my new cheque book and Visa debit card (and its not an electron card so that's a bonus!!).
Also got my new mobile PAYG sim card so I can try and give everyone and updated contact number (for a switched off phone!!)
Have written asking for PPI to be taken off my loan - will be posting that today - hopefully the answer will be yes.
Cancelled all the DD's that have come out of my old account. Now need to get wages transferred. Then I can send everything off to CCCS and get the DMP rolling.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
