Aw...Smile - Love you loads!
Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter, and if I may make two extra special Happy Easters - then Teecee and Smilealot, you both get that little bit extra, because...well....y'know...you're my special friends!
All the very best to everyone though in this rather lovely club!Chuffed to be member 11 on the DMP mutual support thread.
Unanimously voted 'Quotation King' by members of the club. Woo-Hoo:D
Lost my 2 star virginity to smilealot and teecee. And no other two could have been better!0 -
Morning!!
Wow - can't believe it's Easter already. Where is the year going(although it means we get to our DFD faster :rotfl: ). Can you believe that I've devoured a whole chocolate Lindt bunny already?!?! It's a smaller sized one, but even still, it doesn't bode well for my old chocolate hips
Joek - what a lovely message to wake up to. Thank you for your Easter wishes. If Teecee was around right now I'd organise for us to dress up as big Easter bunnies and deliver a special egg for you containing your third star, but she's carbooting :undecided Sending you a basket of cyber eggs instead :easter_ba
I had a dream about all you guys last night... how bizarre!! The DMP Mutual Support Group were focused on by MSE Martin in a TV programme, allowing us to give advise to the public as they discovered that a large percentage of the public need to go on DMPs but don't know about them. Anyway, as a reward for helping the financial industry, the Dragons from Dragons' Den (plus Richie Branson) put together and paid off all our debts. So we all had the same DFD! They threw us a massive party at Alton Towers (it was F.A.B. - the park was closed except for us lot!). The last episode covered our party. It saw us all meeting for the first time (as filming was done individually like if on here). It was very emotional. Then they planned to do a follow up series in a couple of years time to see how we have all coped with being debt free, have we managed to stay on the wagon? How did it affect our personal lives? Did some of us actually miss being in debt as it provided us some structure and discipline? Did we miss having to come on here for support? Did we stay in touch? Fascinating!!! :j
Anyway, got me thinking that someone needs to advertise DMPs etc more because I initially thought I had two choices... keep mounting up the debt by robbing Peter to pay Paul (which I did for years so the amount of debt caused by unneccessary spending etc is actually a lot lower than my total figure) or go bankrupt which I really didn't want to do (and that needs to be resolved as there are a lot of scare stories out there which are not required). Also, people feel like they are so alone when trying to deal with it initially. I had the savvy to contact the National Debt Helpline and through that found CCCS/PayPlan. I found this sight by complete (happy) accident - that's what I call serendipity!!
Also, I was so worried about the absence of Ex-Spendaholic at the party, which has caused me to come on here this morning and shout -
Where are yyyyyyyyyyyooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuu EEEEEEEExxxxxxxx????
Nope, no reply. Please get in touch soon to let us know you are okay :grouphug:
Right, I'm worn out after that almighty post, so I need to go and eat another Easter Egg (gonna have to go out and buy more at this rate :rotfl: ).

Hope everyone is having a good day, and eating lots of chocolate eggs.
Although I don't eat chocolate myself I love sweets and have plenty in the cupboard to keep me going.
Smilealot don't feel guilty about the dress we all need some new clothes now and again and you had a bargain, regarding the extension lead that was a must you can't put a price on safety.
Going to my mam's later for dinner so will enjoy that.
Have a good day all
