    Happy Easter everyone

Smile what a fantastic dream - if only it would come true what a great day that would be.

Well so far today I have had 3 mini choc eggs, a packet of rolos, a bit of a terrys orange egg but don't like orange choc so gave the rest to DH - he now feels ill and nicked some of DD's smarties which for me is very restrained especially as there are cream eggs and maltesers here too.

I had left out the large eggs in the living room for the kids to find but for the last couple of years I have also hidden eggs in the garden for DS to find - DD not old enough. Well as it has been so hot here lately I didn't want to do it last thing at night this time as by the time the kids found them they would have melted so I waited until they were both dressed and breakfasted then told them that the easter bunny had hidden treats in the garden for them but because of the hot weather she had buried them but told me the magic spell to bring them to the surface but for it to work they had to go and pretend they were asleep in bed. So off they went and I went outside and hid mini eggs, mini choc chicks, mini choc bunnies and two large choc bunnies in among the grass, hedge, rhubarb, rockery etc. I didn't realise the bags held so much as I ran out of places to hide them so just ended up throwing the last few eggs in the air and letting them land wherever.

Anyway kids came out and DD immediately found one of the little eggs. She thought that was it and went back inside. I had to take her out again and show her there were more things to find. She soon got into her stride and found lots.:T Once everything had been found I took it all off them then shared it out equally between them keeping back 6 of the mini eggs to share between me and DH of course.:p They have had a few of the mini eggs, a packet of smarties and a cream egg each. That is more than enough for one day.

So how has everyone else's day been

    Hi.

Had a good day today. Kiddies raided the Eggs and then found some that the Easter bunny left in the garden. Went to a local boot fair picked up a few bargains. From there the day has gone downhill as I am at work as I type and wont finish untill 11pm.

Hope you have all had a good day and the weather has been good

lovely day here really quite chilled - although I have just a shadow of dark cloud above me, can't seem to shake it and its bugging me - but nonetheless able to have a few laughs. We did a little easter egg hunt for dd in the garden after church, never did one before and it was good fun - she/we really enjoyed it. Just a light lunch then over to mum and dads for tea on the whole quite relaxing and glorious weather to boot!
Glad so many had a good day too. Chat soon.
    love to all

  • Hi everyone

Thank you all for a lovely welcome :j .Sorry it's late coming on here ,had to work today. But it won't be long till i'm unable to work and thats a long story.
Finished work ,could'nt wait to get home as hubby and kids were waiting for me so we could do our easter egg hunt. The kids have been brill they had'nt eaten any of their chocolate all day they were waiting for me to get home. This year because we are doing the dmp and trying get our lifes back in order, our kids had one easter egg each.Because of this they apreciated it a lot more than having loads (which they usually have each year).
Hubby has been such an angel as well as cooking a sunday roast and a pudding,he went through all the pay plan documents for us to send back on tuesday.Do you send it back normal deliver or do we pay extra for it to be signed for,i've got no idea  .
Trying not to get myself worked up over the upcoming phone calls.Hubby has suggested that he will write a note out for me to read to any of the creditors who are calling, to tell them that we are with payplan etc... anythings worth a try lol.
By reading the threads on here we have some of the worst creditors to deal with Lloyds (we owe them big time),Tesco,Egg etc.Oh my god getting worried now, lol.

    many thanks for listening.

    Hi again guys!

That's me back in sunny England. Glad to hear about all the egg hunts - I'm so jealous!! I've eaten one small Lindt bunny, one small truffle egg and a creme egg. Could've been worse I guess. Oh, and a Millie's cookie!!

IDA - sorry to hear about the black cloud. Caused by anything in particular? I know what you mean though, I had it over my head too from lunchtime onwards. Feel bad now as it was my last few hours with the folks and me being moody put a dampener on the weekend. Couldn't help it though, couldn't force a smile. Feeling a bit better now after a long drive to clear my head and finding out that my best friend has just got engaged!!! Hope you feel better soon too.

crafttingqueen - I just sent back my docs normal mail. Your hubby's idea about writing a script is a great idea. I've not had any nasty phonecalls at all yet, and it's been going for two months. The people I've spoken to have been okay, some very nice in fact. I've missed many calls though due to my mobile being on silent, so that helps. Don't think Teecee has had any, but I could be wrong. As soon as you tell them your Payplan ref they tend to back down. If any of them get to you, just come on here to vent some steam and get cheered up - that's what we are here for! I'm so glad to hear about the kids appreciating their one egg. I'm a secondary school teacher and it seriously disturbs me how spoiled most of my kids are (even though it's not a wealthy area). They don't appreciate anything. Well done to you for taking that step, I wish other parents would too before we turn into a very spoiled society when they the current generation grow up. (Sorry to the parents of unspoiled children - I know they exist, but it feels like they are in the minority sometimes. Also, I understand that it is not always the parents faults - just had to get my rant out!!).

huntress - haven't seen black magic for years!! My Mum loves the stuff, wish I'd known it was still around. Enjoy :T

Well, I'd better get unpacked. Speak soon!

    Morning All :D

I know It's late but Happy Easter everyone!!!!!!!!!:EasterBun :easter_ba :easter: :easter:

Joek - What a lovely message!!!:kisses: you have no idea how much that made me smile.

smilealot -Hope you had a great, chocolate munching day. What a fab dream!!! Were we all wearing our stripey mse shirts??.

Sorry to hear you were feeling down. I'm sure you have no need to feel bad about ruining your visit home. I bet everyone was just thrilled to see you!!
The carboot went well thanks for asking made nearly £50 after pitch fees etc....... so can't sniff at that. Mind you I would rather have stayed in my bed, I'm soooooooooo tired.

Ida - Hope you're feeling more positive today:grouphug:

Kelly - I can't believe the amount of calls they are making. That's harrassment!!!! Ring them and tell them that in future you only want to be contacted by mail and if they don't stop ringing you will take their harrassment further.
    Good Luck!!!!!!!

hunteress - I say go for it with the Black Magic (my mum loves them too!!) and enjoy.

crafting queen - I sent mine back recorded delivery but that was only because I was paranoid about them going astray. Smilealot is right I haven't had any nasty phonecalls or letters, although just like you I was scared to death. Maybe I have just been lucky, Don't forget we are all here if you need advice or just to vent!!!
As Martin says "No Question Is A Stupid Question" if there is anything you are not sure about just ask away and I'm sure someone here will have gone through the same thing and be able to advise.

I too am getting concerned about Ex - Spend - Hope everything is ok and you are just really busy !!!!.

Hope every one had a good day yesterday, I had a lovely dinner at my mums after the carboot. Proper family thing and it was really lovely. I was meaning to log in last night but after a big meal and 3/4 of a bottle of red wine, came home and fell asleep with DD at 7pm.

    Take Care everyone

  • hi all,
just had to catch up with all the posts.went to scarborough for the day yesterday and was really glorious.watched on seafront as about 2000 scooters came in.some had loads of mirrors on like that one on quadraphinia(spelling, sorry!)its a wonder some on them werent doing permanant wheelies with the weight of all that chrome!!!!
anyway i digress!!!! i have just received a default notice from mint loans to whom i owe £5601.at present cccs is paying them £5 monthly ,along with the others.but i worked out that at that rate it would take me 93 years to repay and as i am 44 now it doesnt take einstein to realise that they wont get all their money!!!.......so can anyone tell me,if it goes to court, what they might do.i dont think he court will accept £5 monthly so what can they do.
have sent the notice to cccs in post with a letter asking if they will ask mint what is the lowest payment so at least i can repay it in 26 years at worst, like the rest as i dont want to have a sep arrangment with mint cos it goes against cccs.but im really worried that they will send the balifs or i will have to sell my home for my share of equity.have only recently told oh how much debt im in.
would really appreciate some help and advice.thanks.
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

ilovegreatdanes - I have also received a default from my bank who i have a personal loan with (almost £5000). As far as i know in order for a baliff to be sent round the debt is initally sold to a Debt Collection Agency (this usually means that interest will stop as the DCA would probably have bought the debt for a lot less than you actually owe to mint.) The CCCS will need to be informed if sold to an agency so they will then make payments to them rather than mint.
For baliffs to visit they first need a court order and this would only be given by a judge if you had failed to keep up with your payments. It will be looked upon far more favourably because you are on a DMP with CCCS and making an effort to deal with your debts. I know you feel like this debt will take forever to clear but don't forget that as your number of creditors decrease the payments that the remaining ones get will increase.

I would suggest that you call CCCS and put your mind at rest. Do not enter into a seperate arrangement with any of your creditors as this will put your DMP at risk.

Creditors receive pro-rata payments according to your money available. If one is treated differently to the rest they may all carry on charging interest, charges etc as they will feel they that Mint are receiving preference this will only be more trouble. Stick to your original agreement with CCCS and don't pay anyone any extra.

I know it's tempting to try to clear individual debts but CCCS look at the whole picture and work out payments based on whats best for you. Everyone gets their prorata payments and all are treated equally.

Hope this helps, If any of this is wrong I'm sure someone else will put me right.
You are at the very beginning of your Dmp, hang in there you will be debt free sooner than you think!!
