    Hi everyone
What a gorgeous day we have had here too. Even though I don't think we have done much here it feels like we have actually done quite a bit just because we have been outside. Collected a couple of fence panels today, plant pots and some polythene which we will use to make cloches to grow veg under, all curtesy of freecycle. Went to a car boot sale this morning and spent £1 on a wheel brace which was needed as we recently replaced the locking nuts on our car and the brace we had didn't fit. £1 on £3 worth of stickers as we are potty training DD at the moment and stickers are her reward. And we allowed DS to spend £1.50 on a toy which was £1 of his own pocket money and 50p from us so total spend today £2.50.

Haven't read all of the posts as there has been rather a lot since I last looked but I hope you are all well.

Hunteress could you move the loan DD to another account and then cancel it?

    Hi.

Have not been on for a while as ,to be quite honest, it is nice sometimes not to have your head continually full of facts and figures.

Valley's girl as has been said before you are better sending cheques. Although I am with Payplan I too had to make token payments for this month as my DMP does not start until 1st May. I figured that way I can tell when they have cashed them and also know that they have also recieved my letter stating that I am entering into a DMP.
To everbody else having doubts,or anyone who has recently joined our gang(Hello:hello: ) I believe the biggest step is admiting you have a problem and dealing with it. Yes you will get phone calls and letters , and in my cases emails(EGG) but at least I will soon have a DFD to look forward to and know that after that day I will be free:j .

Just to update you all of my situation at the moment I have posted off the paperwork to Payplan and have also plucked up the courage to send token payments and letters to my creditors. I have only recieved 1 reply so far and that was fron EGG who have passed it onto their borrowing specialist?

I have even done a meal planner for next week .

So far not to much grief but I only posted the letters on Saturday so will expect hassle next week. As I said though hang in there and there will be a happy ending. Wishing you all the best

Hi everyone, especially Sea and Amani!

update? Well no word from Cap One or Nationwide, MBNA said no but yes if I gave them another £20 pm.

Lloyds? Well they said no to my dmp despite it being on their say so I contact CCCS. Not really sure wot to do at the mo. Still very down about it and feeling close to the edge I guess! As for Black horse....they want me give them all my blood and a bit more in order for me to die at their mercy.

Thats about it really! Thanks for asking tho, you are all wonderful!

Read your post regarding the phone call and them saying they never recieved anything from CCCS.
One of my purchases in my care free days was an answer phone with recording facilities. I cannot wait to turn the tables on these guys when they phone.
Something I have taken up since I have started this DMP lark is a small notebook. In it I log everthing I have done since starting, ie posted letters, recieved calls etc and most importantly dates and times. Perhaps you could start one of these and when you get a conflict again you can log the time you received the phone call saying they had received the stuff from CCCS and use it against them. I work in a high pressurised atmosphere at work and I know that mine, and most companys, record telephone calls. If they query it again ask them to look back on their telephone calls from that phone and pull the tapes( I bet they back down!)

    Regards

    Hi all.

I've actually got a little question to ask...(and no, it's not about sweets).

I was due to start my DMP in March, but CCCS only sent me out the welcome pack on 28th Feb (!), plus I didn't get paid until 23rd Mar. All fine and dandy. I'd sent out all my token payments, and CCCS sorted out the plan so it would start on the 1st April. My first payments been received and everything is going as well as can be expected.

My one concern is that I'm wondering whether I should have sent a set of token payments out to my creditors this month too?

Admittedly, it would have been very difficult to do, simply because I am now with Citibank and the basic account doesn't come with a cheque book by default (although I can order one easily enough).

Does anyone think it will actually matter?

Barclaycard have acknowledge the DMP, as have the Studant Loan people, and my old Barclays account have decided to default anyway, so I suspect that'll go to some debt collection agency to deal with.

    What do you think?

I would not send out token payments this month. I am no legal eagle and I can only speak from my own experience. My payments were due on the 1st(Today) I have sent off token payments , at least to say that i have paid a certain amount this month, after that my S/O starts with Payplan and if worse comes to worse I am(hopefully) covered because I have set up the S/O with Payplan for the 1st May. That is the line I will use with my creditors anyway And no doubt someone with more knowledge with me will be along soon They are all probably watching Corrie(Do you think Tracy will be foung guilty)
Like the post we will find out tomorrow.

    Hi

Joek - I sent out my token payments on the turn of the month Jan/Feb and then made my first payment on the 1st March - this meant nearly 2 months between payments, but the CCCS had contacted the creditors in the meantime so they knew when the money was coming AND CCCS will have informed them that you've made payment to them...so no, don't send any more money out. It would, if anything, work against you as they'd want the CCCS amount+ the extra for token payments as you managed it...iyswim.

    Just my experience

  • Hi everyone
Lovely day here today too, washing out and dried (yay) garden started but lots to do in it cause its huge and was neglected last year!!

Joek if you want to send cheques, even just a token payment (gives you peace of mind as your cccs payment won't go out until 25th April), have you got a building society account, I have ctc paid into my bsoc account now and can go in and raise cheques for free whenever - just a thought.

Glad to hear from you kevster, we know its tough, sometimes it feels like you're getting nowhere fast (or even slow) but you're doing great and things will get better - and the b******s can't have what you ain't got!!

    love to you all

  • Hi yellowmonkey
Re Tracy question - I think (hope) she will be found guilty and Steve will get to bring up Amy.
