Problems accessing Barclays online bank

It's very slow to load and everytime I go to make a payment it tells me there is a technical problem. I got through to the helpline at 12.30ish (after holding for 23 minutes). When I complained that I needed to make urgent payments I was told "A large number of customers are in the same position" - so it's more than 10%......
I was told they were working on it and that if I logged on in a couple of hours it MIGHT work. Never mind, at least Barclays are making money at this - if they don't report problems on the website or in the telephone system it means people hang on for ages to find out when they can make payments!
Sack the IT department, obviously poorly tested0 -

Mobile log-in is just as bad!! i can see certain accounts but not my main one. SO ANNOYING!!0

This is just crazy. Have been trying all day to get on - get so far then it just locks me out. Also been trying to get through to customer services - and guess what - no answer. How am I meant to run a business and pay people when I can't even get on-line to do this. Come on Barclays - sort this out :mad::mad::mad:0

We have been trying to pay our staff since 4.30am this morning, trying to log in every half an hour. Ridiculous state of affairs and will be moving our business elsewhere.

Ok, I've had enough now. Just applied on-line to transfer my account to another bank. It's not the first problem I've had with Barclays in my 30 years with them. I don't suppose any of them are much better but this really is the final straw in the handful of straw Barclays have thrown at me over the past 30 years!0

Oh have finally managed to get on-line and stay there for enough time to print off a statement. Great!!! That's it though. Can't pay anyone though as it has just locked me out again. So Barclays what are you actually doing about it. Are you going to compensate or at least apologise to everything - of course not :mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I've been able to see my statements (once in the nine times I've logged on) but never been able to make a payment. Maybe top-class chippy is correct and they're holding onto 'their' money over the weekend....0

Barclays online banking was down until about 1600 hours yesterday and most of today. No apology or notice on the web site and no recorded announcement on the phone help line. Really poor customers service.0 -
I forgot to confirm that Barclays Mobile Bank is working. But that is only a little help because it does not provide full facilities.0
