After nearly two hours of either, not being able to load even the log-in page - OR - finally logging in only for it to crash when I try to access deatils of an account, I have finally managed to do what I wanted to do.

However, even more frustrating was that when I went to the 'Contact Us' page & selected the option for sending a complaint vai e-mail - guess what - it took me to the 'login page':mad::mad: !!! - yes, the one which wouldn't evn load!

Sadly, when I logged out, I didn't get a 'feed back' pop-up or they would have got a right earful.
  • The one time today I managed to get to step one of the login process it then took so long to get to step 2 I was told I had been logged out for not using the service for more than 5mins! I was never logged in fully to start with! Now I am struggling to even get on the Barclays website, let alone try to log in or email them to complain. Hopeless.

    10%, my backside.

Hands up anyone who believe it WILL be sorted by the end of the day? Anyone?
  • Is it a browser specific thing, I wonder? Is anyone having luck with a browser other than IE?

I don't have Firefox or Chrome on my work PC unfortunately.

I use Chrome, I also tried with IE and FF this morning in case that was a Chrome issue... No suck luck.
  • Gave up trying to log in and went down to my local Barclays branch to find out what is going on. Apparently I was the fifth customer this morning wanting to know what is happening. All the staff have been told is that the site is "down for maintenance"! They can't get through on the phone lines either. Anyway they managed to transfer money from my Barclays business account to my personal Nationwide account so that I can at least pay my bills.

I have been having problems for 2 days now. I was one of the original people to trial this new system and told them what a pile of ' POO ' this new version is. I told them to keep the old system. I just knew there was going to be big problems when they did eventually go over to this new one but boy this really is rubbish. I have no confidence in Barclays at all and I am really considering going to a different bank as this really is the last straw. I have DDs going through at the end of the month and will need to transfer some money over and can't get to the bank as I have no petrol to get there ( now theres another story entirely !! ). Tried ringing but just holding waiting for an advisor then got cut off

There is no way Barclays will fix this by the end of the day....they are having a larff !!!

Soooooooo annoying!! Why did they pick the last day of the month to redesign!! Numpties....

Same here. It's been awful for the last few weeks. Logging in takes about 3 tries, going round in circles - you can't use the new website, log in here. Don't log in here, use our wonderful new website. You are not registered, log in here. Round and round, until finally the place I was at in the start condescends to recognise the PinSentry code. I've been trying to make end of year payments and check urgent transfers that have to clear before 31 march or 5 April. Didn't they realise this was not just the busiest, but also the most crucial time of the year? So they decide to dig up the old site and try out a new one that doesn't work properly. I am seriously considering switching to a new bank next year, after the dust has cleared and I can access our money again. And then that inane survey "your views are important to us". I hope so, because I have marked everything at 0/10

Same problem here. the 0845 number for the helpdesk takes ages to be answered with a live person - use Saynoto0870.com to find an alternative. When answered the girl said that there was no problem but when I said that I could not log in she said that there was a problem with that! It will be resolved in an hour she said - hah ha. Finally managed the new log in but it takes for ever to go from one screen to another, so I got my personal Premier lady to do my transaction. But, this is a crazy situation and many people may go overdrawn. Don't Barclays beta test their software before launching? May have to consider moving after 42 years with them.
  • TBH, I've been using the "new" site for a couple of months now, as was "invited" to test it a while back and found it great - It would appear though, that as soon as they have gone mainstream and switched everyone else over, it has crashed out...

    typical...
