  • Ever since the new site went live, it's been a farce! It occasionally works, looks hoorrid, is messy and a disaster of client side Javascript heavy rubbish!

    The old version was functional, fast and fitted on one common size screen. Anybody got the link for mobile site, anybody got any good contact details to complan to?

    Today, first logon, I got a Server 500 error, the 2nd/3rd & 4th times, I got logged on, but trying to do anything other than view the main status page, says waiting for bank.barclays.co.uk and eventually, kills my browser.

    Gave up trying to get any banking done, not happy!

    I've been woking with our bookeeper last Friday and today trying to get on to thr system and pay bills. Last week it was down all morning. Today it keeps logging us off. It's a total nightmare and not something I have ever experienced with Lloyds or HSBC. Of course try and speak to someone and you are though to an 0845 call to an Indian call centre so may as well not bother. No service updates on the site. Is anyone else having the same problems?

    Tried to access Barclays internet banking on and off this morning. Got logged off several times and a few others the login screen didn't appear (just showed blank) when I pressed the link. Eventually did get in, so seems to be limping along at present.

    I'm starting to get concerned at how often this is happening as I bank with the big four because I expect the IT to work.
  • This has been a regular occurence the last few weeks, its seems to be every Wednesday and Fridays, I have wages to pay on a Friday and last week had a total nightmare as the site was down all day, I called the call centre and told them I was not happy and it is becoming too regular, I now have to pay my staff early just so they get their wages its a disgrace. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    I had exactly the same problems late this morning - elevenish. I just wanted to check balances but it kept getting stuck during the login process. When I eventually got in I would click on an account and it would chuck me out saying I hadn't used it for five minutes! More like been trying to login for five minutes!

    I never had problems before they redesigned it (hardly ever anyway). I've been using it for years. I used to like that I could use it with scripts turned off (ie the Firefox add-on, NoScript) but that's no longer possible. I'm no techie but I reckon needing all these scripts to run in the background means it can't cope when it's busy, and is more likely to fall over any other time.
  • All I get when I try and access statements is "there is a technical error retrieving statements on this account" please ring 0845 etc quoting error 65009.

    I need three statements. Can I get them in branch? Will they ever make this online banking work?
  • Miraculously it started working after a couple of hours, which is just as well as I waited 40 minutes for the help line to answer before giving up :mad:. I guess they may get it working properly eventually but it really is a bit pants....

    I get the same thing most times.
    There is a simple workaround (note workaround - not solution - it's definately a bug).
    Just click statements again (or refresh / F5) and you will miraculously get through.
