    Hi all

Im back sorry for no posts the last few days have been trying to help a friend who is about to rent a bungalow from a not too nice Letting Agent and whats seems to be a bit of a weird Landlord, long story with probably not a happy ending, can only point her in the right direction the final decision to take the tenancy is hers, my Landlord offered her a place but its probably not in the right end of town, ah well thats life.:p

Ok so as well as shingles the doctors decided Im diabetic, and am now on some tablets that give me bad wind:eek::eek::eek::D:D:o and flatulence, the cat is not amused at my ahem rumblings from nether regions, keeps running round behind me and looking for the source of the noise:eek::eek::o:o, mind its amusing he thinks its a game then he sticks his posh nose in the air as if to say phew!! whats that orrible smell and walks off disgusted, he really can do the posh putty cat suffering act and poor me is in agony with wind, me and the doctor need to be having words this situation could just about kill of my social life.

So whats been happening in my absence, a vast investment in calamine lotion for my shingles rash, been stuffing my face with apples have sudenly had a passion on eating them, and major crisis......ANTS in my kitchen, found out where the little bleeders were coming in and doused the lot of them in powder, and they had found where I had dropped some coffee on the kitchen floor so must be vigilant on keeping surfaces and floor free from food debris, Tumbledown Cottage is not an ant cafe they can sod orf,,,,

The rain has done nothing but pour down here in the Midlands, so the gardening has been put on hold for a few days, but the grass looks like its about a foot:eek: high
and the weeds are popping up on the gravel driveway, looks a major gardening few days when it finally dries up
My sweet peas are coming along well, pansies at there best, only have one pot of them but they look lovley, brighten up a dull corner of the little gravel back yard.

Dont you think that prices in the shop are going nuts, cant believe how the price of things have risen, not just by 2p more like 20p and petrol:eek::eek: at :eek:least breathing is still free.
Right had better go and boot Dom out for his nightly prowl, that cat loves stretching out on my comfy rug, so glad he loves it here because I cant think of him not bieng here now, hes such a trusting soul, one deep purr and his slave (me ) jumps to command :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Bit of gossip, Landlords girlfriend dumped him (yippee) wonder if he likes chubby single dumpy women with a daft cat....sigh well one can dream...night all

Will be back in the morning,, well thats if I havent gassed meself under the duvet:o:o

    T
Now fingers crossed there's a big black and white cat with massive whiskers out there looking for a forever home with a batty dumpy lady :A yep there is, found him Domino big fat huge whiskered purring machine that's taken over my house life and heart, life's good, as I pander to the whims of my new lodger..:rotfl::rotfl::D:D:p

Hi Tammy, bah I have Avatars turned off because some move and distract me, lol and now I can't remember how to turn them on again.... flipping fogged up noggin!

The only way I know of getting images up is to us the box on the tool bar that has a picture of mountains in and you need the url of a host site like Flickr or Photobucket or something. I did it once and it took me a few goes before I finally cracked it.

LOL at the noxious fug surrounding you, sounds like when the doc gave me my antidepressants for the first month I suffered as did everyone around me, but it did settle down, thank goodness or the ozone layer would have really thinned out above Scotland!

Shame your friend is having a hard time with her place. I think I may take the other property your landlord has as my family are in Staffs and desperate for me to move nearby and your LL sounds so kind.

Off now to investigate those avatars...

    Edited to add:
Oh, I can see you both - good grief, either you are very tiny or Dom is HUGE! He looks very happy to be with you and it does sound like he is going to be well looked after.

  • Hi FrugalLina

Daft friend took that bungalow still its her decision, Im Scottish too, from Lanarkshire, all my family came down here to work in the pits/coalmines, they have all gone now from this area of Staffordshire but it has a lovley mining history.

I love where I am, minutes away from Cannock Chase yet close enough to main towns, from where I am I can access Wolverhampton Walsall and Birmingham, buses run from the main roads a few minutes walk from Tumbledown and ofcourse my main town has a good range of shops, A*di. L*dl,Sainsbugs, Tisco. and a huge Asd* plus lots of lovley charity shops and a big clothes recycling place for a national charity so have access to some pretty cheap shopping etc, but moneys pretty tight and from the way things are going with the economy its not looking too good if your already struggling to make ends meet.

Yes FLina Im tiny in height but with lots of spare tyres  only 5 foot 4 and Dom cat is a huge neutered tom cat who purrs away like an old clockwork mechanism and rules the roost:p:p one purr and I obey :j:jYes Landlord is brilliant, his lady friend who dumped him told him he was a boring git, we shared lifes moans and groans over a cuppa tea and one of my coffee and walnut cupcake concoctions, he scoffed three of them, nice man but Im steering clear of romantic entanglements after getting rid of a violent ex husband.and all the hassles of divorce, moving areas etc, its just me the cat and life, least the cats honest :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ok so Im in Tumbledown Cottage, got lots of painting to do and need to find a large rug to hide faded terracotta carpet in front room, am watching a huge red one on ebay thats local and going for £20 so far so fingers crossed.

Landlord put up my curtain rails for me and took my rubbish to the tip for me,have got to find my way round this area, Im tucked down side street away from the hustle and bustle of daily life with me cat and weed infested gravel drive :rotfl: once the rain stops the weedkillers out and about, hopefully to zap them pesky weeds once and for all.

Just need the little nik nak things that make this my home, previous tenant has had tv aeriels put in the two upsta:rotfl:irs bedrooms, so might see eventually if I can afford a new portable tv, though have asked for one on Freecycle, older type as I have a spare digibox.

Rain has finally stopped so hopefully can go hang out my washing and get on with some ironing.

Dom cat has just plopped through the cat flap looking pleased with himself now that he has chased the local moggy from his territory, even the birds are not scared of him:D:phe is a big white woose with black spots..

Had better get on with some housework and get some cooking done to save me time over the weekend, lasagne and chilli I think though I need to read up on what a diabetic should be eating , have got to change my sugar infested food chomping ways pronto.

Hope alls well in everyones small corner of the world, hugs to them that are not feeling to good.

    Tammy and Domno x

Hi Tammy, think I need to get me and DD a cat, men just aren't worth the hassle sometimes!!

Your place sounds great, as does the landlord, keep smiling and keep being frugal :) Freegle's a great place to get a new to you tv, people are always giving them away on my local one.

LOL Tammy, I am with you there, no more abusive relationships for me either, time to heal and enjoy being independent and making decisions for our own wellbeing, I think.

The Chase is a lovely place and I hope you can get some nice walks there.

Dom is living up to his name, I think, more dominator than domino, lol, he does sound great company and you both seem to be settling in very well.

I hope the shingles has eased a bit and you are coping with your reduced carb intake!
