Did it, didnt think Id do it but I did, god that means Tumbledown Cottage is now mine. well mean I can now rent it, knowing I can with careful budgeting get in now and start living the Life Ive only just dreamed about..
Bootsale was nearly a washout, but the true grit of the folk round here braved the weather amazed me how many folk turned out,had one fly in the ointment..Mrs Lightfingers and her two bleedin distraction kids, luckily the bootsale organisers know her and were shadowing her and her two brats, she was busy sticking one of my tops into her bag whilst I was telling her kids off for messing up my sale items, she soon scarpered with an earful of me bawling at her, cheeky cow.
Sooo Ive done it , do you know thats the first thing Ive achieved all by myself since I was ill, usually Id give up, but no this time, I know this might sound bigheaded but Im bloody well proud of myself,,, watch out world Im coming back, god knows where Ive been hiding in this depression induced foggy world Ive been living in. That times over now, only positive thoughts from now on.
So the next chapter of Tales From Tumbledown Cottage is the marathon effort of finding the furnishings...thats easy I have been offered so much by kind folk on Freecycle and a local Furniture Recycling scheme where you pay a little for the items, lifes good, whooooo still cant believe I have done it, miracles do happen, now just need to get that budget sorted, meal planning trimmed down and of we jolly well go.
Tommorow is dedicated to finding my forever cat, blac and white, plump and with huge whiskers, but if theres one there who catches my eye, colour etc doesnt matter.
Landlord wants to put in a new backdoor, so fluttered my eyelashes at him and asked could he put in a catflap, he said yes, providing I replace the door when I leave and I did a double backflip, whooped with joy, he scarpered quick Im sure he thinks Im bonkers but he was laughing as he went so thats ok.
I hope youve all had a good day, mines been good wet muddy and happy happy.
Sorry for the over the top post but I feel wooo hooo doopy doohs..

And so you should be pleased, Tammy - you HAVE achieved a heck of a lot - you are truly an inspiration.
As soon as you get your cat, will you take pictures - pleeeeeeeease!
(and, where did you find such a kind landlord? - mine won't let me have a pet
) 31.5/1000 -
Hi FrugalLina
Yes will put pictures up of cat/s.
My Landlord, now where did I find him, well behind the counter of the newsagents in this bit of the town I live in. I asked if he would let me put a flat wanted card in his window and he said he had a 2 bed terrace house to let..so after I said so do you take folk that atre not working at the moment , he said come and have a look.
Went and had a look, well you know how enthusiastic Ive been in previous posts, I suppose i was just lucky to be i nthe right spot, right time.
There are some decent Landlords out there FrugalLina, who try to help folk on limited incomes like me.
I will take some pics of Tumbledown before and after ones lol,
I know your looking for somewhere too, just dont give up, it will happen...
So thank you all for your kind words of support

Yippee! That's brilliant about the car boot sale, and I can't wait to read more about the cottage

I too have a very limited budget to do my place up, and have now discovered that I need some electrical work done that might take quite a bit of my funds put aside for the new kitchen and bathroom, darn it. Think I might need to do a car boot sale soon myself.0 -
Tumbledown Tammy, I have to ask. I really can't wait any longer - how was the cat-hunting today? How many have chosen you to be their new slave (because that is how it is, you don't get to pick them, oh, no!)?
I am loving your tales and you really don't know how much it has given me a lift now that I too (with an astonishingly similar back story to you) have hope of the right home for me in the future.
Kitty news, though, I want to hear kitty news!31.5/1000
