Ah well, it's a bank holiday weekend so postal deliveries would have taken a bit longer than normal.

Have a Happy Easter. Best of luck with a potentially life-changing decision.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Best of luck with your decision.

I could never make a decision about whether to try and trace my birth mother and by the time I finally decided to do so I discovered that all records of her existence stopped a few years ago so I can only assume that she moved abroad and so any window of opportunity I had is now well and truly closed as I have no idea where she's gone.

I think if anyone is even thinking about doing it then they should follow their gut because there's something very hollow about making the effort and discovering you're a few years too late.

feel for you, i left the decision to trace my Biological Father too late(didnt want to upset adoptive Father,)when I did it was to find that he had died.

That is quite sad, is there no organisation you could approach for help? The new series of the lost and found tv prog starts on Thurs, that is always very poignant. Maybe you could approach them?

Unfortunately, knowing what I do about my birth family and the circumstances of my adoption, broadcasting the many skeletons in the closet on national television is the last thing I would want, particularly as it would most likely be humiliating for my birth mother.

caught the start of your thread, just wanted to pop by and say good luck.

Its quite weird, but my ex we were together for 2 yrs and his mum (adoptive parents) took me on like a daughter, the weird thing was although he knew he was adopted, they never game him his birth name or what happened, he was adopted at 6 weeks, but they gave me the details.

In time my ex asked what i knew as his mum had told him she told me, fast forward, he got in touch with his birth mum, he has an older sister, and his birth parents are still together, the dad has trouble acknowling my ex, and has nothing to do with him, but he meets his birth mother and sister and her family, and they get on well, it worked out for him.

I really do hope things work out for you. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
