Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Please everyone back off and stop pressuring SDW. It's a very big thing she is contemplating and she must do it when she is ready.0

Thanks for that craftyscholar, but I don't mind people asking, I'm glad so many are inrterested, and it keeps me motivated.
I just haven't been able to get my head together enough to do it. My husband and I both suffer with anxiety and what with other things in our lives at the moment, this has been one thing we couldn't get round to doing .
We ARE going to try to do it today. Will have to see how it goes.
Will keep everybody posted.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Best of luck with your decision.
I could never make a decision about whether to try and trace my birth mother and by the time I finally decided to do so I discovered that all records of her existence stopped a few years ago so I can only assume that she moved abroad and so any window of opportunity I had is now well and truly closed as I have no idea where she's gone.
I think if anyone is even thinking about doing it then they should follow their gut because there's something very hollow about making the effort and discovering you're a few years too late.0 -

Didn't manage to do it today, although we both feel a bit better. it is a big thing to handle and my head has to be right.
Only been able to manage buying plants for the garden and organising our dog-sitting.
Thanks to everyone for your support, it is most appreciated. I know this is something I must do soon. My husband goes to Spain for a week on Thursday, hopefully we can do it before then.
The help and support I have had from this discussion is very much appreciated. xx(AKA HRH_MUngo)
