    Vinnyph,

Again you fail to put down you are UW salesman and have a vested interest in posting such rubbish.

I have no vested interest - I just post the truth.

The £100 is a 'one off' for new customers only - only provided you meet certain conditions. We are trying to get existing customers aware of UW's high prices as well as new customers.

The cashcard can be obtained for any service - you don't need to pay £hundreds more for gas and electricty.

I very obviously do know better - unquestionably know better!!

All of the misleading is done by yourself.

WHICH say you are 20% more expensive - I say you are 30% more expensive.

For the average user in UK which is 20,500kWh gas and 3,300kWh electricity in the midlands

The cheapest supplier will charge £902.

If you go to energyhelpline it gives UW high user as the cheapest UW tariff charging £1199

So that is £297 more expensive or 32.9% more expensive.

UW do indeed have 3 tariffs and to use your 'excuse' UW will "profile the customer with the cheapest tariff individually for gas and electricity whether high, standard or low user"

So entering in the gas we get £768 on High user for UW gas, and £439 for medium user electricity so a total of £1207.

However that includes the monthly UW club membership (of £2?) twice so reduce that to £1,183

So with the careful profiling UW are now only £281 more expensive or 31.2% more expensive.

    Anything wrong with my calculations?

Energylinx is another switching/comparison website that pay you cashback (£34) if you use them to join uw.

Where do they get the £34 from?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Why do uw reps insist the comparison sites are bad?

It must be very difficult to know what to say if they are challenged by a prospective new customer who has the timerity to ask why uw is so expensive compared to all the other suppliers shown on the comparison site.

So they are taught to diss the comparison sites as being corrupt (saying this is because uw refuses to pay them for supplying customers - even though this is patently untrue), and that to "punish" the uw they show them in a bad light.

If the uw rep telling you this is your brother/b-i-l/comes recommended by someone you know etc, then it's unthinkable that he will lie to you!

(Especially as he just told you all about the (wortheless) guarantee (which can be made to "sound" like a price guarantee, when it is really just a worthless sales tool, and produced a piece of paper with your post code on it saying you will save £870 if you just sign up to the UW! Not including the monthly membership fee of course!!)

Its not a problem because the average person already realise that the online energy swapping companies do not provide the full picture and are not independent as they are funded by the energy companies unlike UWDC as has already been proved many times. People have already tried offers with them before but realise the discounts from the big 6 energy companies are not what they first seem and if you look into them the small print has a lot of catches. As usual where you go wrong is that your so called facts are based on false assumptions. You just make things up as you go along to support your own belief. The truth is as usual you do not actually know what you are talking about.

You call people gullible but those same people simply realise you bluff your way through life. You bare false witness against others and press false claims against them but the truth of the matter is that all the false claims merely come from you being false. I have learnt not to trust what you say as many others have because you have been proved to be false so many times in the past. It takes a sad person to try to undermine others but that is all you seem to try to do. I try to see merit in people but can you blame me if I fail to see it in you. Truth prevails in the end. Your distorted picture of things bears no resemblance on reality.

But isn't Npower one of these big 6?

Doesn't uw in effect just add on its margin to Npower's prices and resell it to gullibles for far more than they would pay if they just went to Npower direct if they want to use them to supply their energy?

You claim you post the truth. Nay lad, you bluff.

With the UWDC discounts the bill comes to a much lower figure than you quote because again you fail to include the UW discounts but compare it against other companies including their discounts. How much clearer do you need it. How many times do you need to be reminded before you actually take notice. I know you don't like it when someone sees through you and your tactics buts its pretty plain and clear. No matter how much you rant on you still ignore carmines challenge because you refuse to include the UWDC discounts. The point being overall he is getting a very good deal, much cheaper than what you suggest. Your claims are false and mislead people. You ignore the many UWDC discounts in any comparison that. Do you chose purposely to ignore those just to satisfy you own dislike you UWDC.

You really are sounding like a scratched record now.

Are you saying that going to Energylinx and signing up to UW and earning £34 cashback is a false claim? You seem to keep ignoring that FACT.

Do you seriously think Energylinx will fund that £34 from their own pocket?

Do you completely disreguard the fact that all the Energy comparison sites are monitored by Consumer focus to be accurate?

Is the chart on the UW website that (laughably) tells you how much you could save accredited by consumer focus? I cant see the logo anywhere..

You seem to go to great lengths to discredit the comparison sites but I would still trust them FAR more than a useless "calculator" that just asks your postcode, size of house and how many people live in it. How the hell can that be more accurate than a comparison site that asks for you current supplier and tariff and kwh usage???

No actually it doesn't. A number of things you choose to miss.
    • NPower has advertising costs, UWDC doesn't.
    • You have looked at the online energy switching company that claim to be independent price that includes the membership fee twice.
    • online energy switching company doesn't include any UWDC discounts.

A few other misconceptions the average expert on UWDC thinks
    • UWDC is not merely a reseller of NPower as you suggest.
    • NPower do not own UWDC.

Now have you got any other false statements to be shown to be untrue or do you accept your failure, yet again.

You call people gullibles, they call you thick.

Well he doesn't work for the same firm as you do - namely UW.

Do you keep forgetting that you should declare you are a salesperson for UW!!

    1) If UWDC saves all the advertising costs that Npower has to pay, why is the UW so much more expensive?

    2) The switching sites that add 2 membership fees instead of one for the uw show them to be £20.76 more expensive over a year than they should be. But uw are £100s more than the cheapest! £20.76 is a red herring!

    3) The discounts are a fallacy! You don't need to buy any energy to get the so called "discounts"!
