Talking about quoting out of context, not one UW ID has mentioned the fact that WHICH has made the statement that UW are 20% more expensive.
Not here, but keggs has posted elsewhere that he finds this a "bit of a stumbling block" when using the which? report to help him interest gullibles in joining uw.
He was advised by another rep to have the Which reports printed off in A5 size, which tends to show all the useful information like position in the rankings, and overall satisfaction ratings while making the main body of text in the article too small to be easily read.
Keggs thought that deceitful suggestion "sound"!0 -
What is the point of paying uw for their expensive g + e to get the "£100 extra discount" in the first place? The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Back of fag packet calculation...what would your annual household retail spend be? Then of course it's just about seeing if your habits match the retailers on the 5% list. If they don't, fine. If they do, eureka! 18.5 million people shop at Sainsburys each and every week. Even if you assume that some of these people are not 'unique' and maybe visit 2-3 times per week, then maybe there are 5-6 million individual shoppers who regularly shop there for groceries. Add in the fact that the 5% also applies to vehicle fuel and £120/week is by no means unrealistic for a weekly shop. The fact that the vast majority of these people (like you) currently derive NO cashback from this EXISTING spend means they are effectively chucking away money.
PS You are also 'forgetting' that someone with my exact usage in my area and taking, like me, 4 services, joining UW now would be paying £133 per year more than the cheapest online deal, not £233. £11 a month and of course they would be getting phone line/BB/all calls for a price your preferred telephony supplier couldn't come anywhere near*, not even taking into account the cashback card.
PS What cashback card do you use for your retail spend? I'm assuming you MUST use one, given your recent posts on people who use the UW card?
*Gas 15000
Electric 4800
Unlimited broadband
All calls 24/7 (including 0845/0870 and some international destinations)
Phone Line Rental
Total annual cost £1340.00.
Do you ever read posts before going into diversion mode? Still nice to see you have got your confidence back and have reverted to type.
Who said that people do not spend £6000 a year in those shops?
The point - which it is understandable you do not want to address - is that you have to spend about £6,000 on the card just to get back the extra you pay for UW's gas and electricty.
I take it you do appreciate that neither you or any existing UW customer get the one off £100 rebate at the end of 12 months. (weren't you rather scathing about the practice of a Big 6 company making customers wait 12 months for a discount;))
You really are getting desperate with your obfuscation these days - can't you raise your game a little?0 -
And the UW reps and shareholder carmine waste their discount reducing a very expensive energy tariff. Have they forgotten this is a money saving site?:rotfl:The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Nearly forgot, where is the link to your Utility Warehouse pre payment card beating cashback card? The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

So
if you spend £6000pa on the cashback card you get your phone and broadband for free
if you spend £12000pa you can get phone, broadband & a mobile with 180mins/270texts free
For the average household using 3300kwh el & 20,500kwh gas, with phone/broadband & mobile, how much do you think you need to spend on the cashback card to get your energy at the average of the top 10 cheapest tariffs ?
For agents : please include how many customers you need to get your package for free0 -

HaHa. Like being savaged by a dead sheep. You seem to have totally missed this question so Ii will make it a little more noticeable:
PS What cashback card do you use for your retail spend? I'm assuming you MUST use one, given your recent posts on people who use the UW card?
Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Show Carmine and me a better deal, or have you forgotten this is a money saving site?
I've already said if you are addicted to ringing 0870/0845 prefix numbers as well as having numerous friends/family dotted around the globe, UW would be the obvious choice. For the rest of us normal folk, choosing UW energy just to receive this unique call package would be madness. Although reading the contributions of Rael and others UW does indeed attract its fair share of interesting characters.0
