Have you not got the message about diversionary tactics?
This thread is about UW - not about my spending habits.
If I say I use cashcard xxx, or no card, or I drive a certain car or invest in xxx then you have succeded in your aim of diverting the conversation away from UW.
You have to spend approx £6000 on your cashcard just to cover the extra money you pay UW for your gas and electricity.
P.S.
Not having ever been savaged by a dead sheep, I bow to your experience in these matters.
That's a BIG FAT NO, then - YOU DON'T AND HAVE NEVER USED ANY FORM OF CASHBACK CARD....but see fit to lecture everyone else on the best way to use one . And then accuse ME of diversionary tactics:rotfl:. You're a legend in your own wireless hub (not to mention those other locations with the blazing fast cable on which I await the speedtest with bated breath).
Can I just state that I use the UW cashback card and get my gas and electric for less than I would if I was paying your 4 and a half year old fixed BG tariff (a period of time that has seen the price of gas and electric rise by up to 70%). I've been paying the UW tariff for just 2 months. And you use no cashback card whatsoever. So, the question is: who's the REAL moneysaver - me or you? I don't expect a straight answer, BTW, just more diversionary bluster.
Ps A dead sheep has never been known to savage another dead sheep so hardly surprising you have no experience of such a thing...Call me Carmine....

This then becomes 'Carmine's truth' I suppose? to be endlessly repeated.
Like BG Click being cheaper than BG PP2010. - 'your men' still working on that one?
Usual tactic - make a totally unsupported statement to divert attention away from UW's failings.
If the statement is denied, the next step is imply that the person is lying unless absolute proof can be given. If absolute proof is given then you get your men working on it and hope subject it will go away.
Implicit in this line of attack(i.e. I have no knowledge of cashcards) is that I have been 'knocking' the UW cashcard. Of course I haven't done so, and indeed am on record as saying it is a very attractive perk.
Take the latest diversionary tactic. I posted that abroad I use 'lightening fast cable internet' and mused that I see very little difference surfing between that and my 3mb in UK. Not a claim of anything - merely a comment.
Now in several posts Carmine is implying I am lying about using fast internet. For what purpose? Presumably to illustrate that I am a liar? Such an illogical approach wouldn't make sense to most people; you have to be blessed with Carmine's twisted logic.
The subject of this thread dear carmine is UW and comment should be on the following:
The fact that UW gas and electricity prices are 20% higher than the cheapest tariff(according to WHICH).
The fact that the average UK gas and electricity customer(and Carmine) needs to spend approx £6,000 on the UW cashcard to offset the extra he pays to UW
That if you really want a UW cash card, it makes far more sense for the vast majority of people to take another service from UW to get the cash card and get gas and electricity from another supplier for £hundreds cheaper.
You are not doing very well Carmine!0 -
Fine. I'm benefiting to the tune of £500 per year by using the UW cashback card and by not changing my spending habits one iota - only the card I pay for them on. I totally accept there are cheaper alternatives for my gas and electric but the difference is negated by the fact I get such an amazing deal on my phone/BB/calls by paying the premium for gas and electric. The deal I get with UW for phone/BB/calls for instance would cost approx £20 per month more with your preferred telephony supplier - not to mention the 18 month min contract and the real likelihood I would end up talking to 'Barry' from the Indian sub-continent if I wanted a query answering/problem solving.
Give me the details of a cashback card that would make it economically viable to go elsewhere and i will certainly consider it. Given your criticism of people like me who use the UW cashback card I'm assuming this request will be a walk in the park for you? Yes? No?
Of course, the cashback card you use would be a good starting point...Call me Carmine....

Now I know you are not slow on the uptake, so the following is more for other readers than yourself.
Firstly. Another cashcard does not come into the equation it ain't the isue. So it really does no good asking for details of another cashcard.
Do you really think people, well used to your diversionary tactics, will get dragged into discussion on the merits of other cashcards?
Did we say anything about you going to BT? Yet another diversionary tactic carmine - you really must do better.
If you consider that your phone and broadband are an 'amazing deal' then retain them.(IMO they are not an amazing deal, but as you are happy with them ----!!!)
You now have your amazing deal and a cashcard.
Now you can go and get your gas and electricity £233 cheaper than UW charge.
Now not talking to Barry on the sub-continent will become of huge importance to you, as will monthly bills so that rules out any money saving solutions.
Step up your game Carmine - you are making it too easy for the AUWF.0 -
