Yet another useless post from you. Over 150 in this thread in less than two weeks, is this part of your initiation into the cult?
Nice to see you're finally reading back in this thread, espresso. Will this mark the end of your useless and time-wasting questions, I wonder? One can only hope.Call me Carmine....

Not really but I couldn't help noticing the amount of drivel posted by this new UW addict in such a short space of time. I still don't understand why a satisfied UW customer, who has not been paying for their gas and electricty is now switching to EDF. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

You can see a "thread" running through them, though.
Uptomyeyeballs came here, but found the thread not to his liking:uptomyeyeballs wrote:Don't think i'll stay, it all looks a bit like hell on earth to me. Not a place for me I don't think.
So went away and joined the new reps/members forum.
But then returned to this "hell on earth" with avengence, though this time seems to have an agenda about the thread:
He warns us there are libellous posts. He accuses us of "stealing" bandwidth.
So fed up that no-one takes any notice of his "warnings" he tells us he has telephone calls from Which? to thank him and tell him they have their lawyers alerted to sue us!
Now his agenda is concentrating on getting this thread shut, by any means he can - eg. abusive posts, complaints it's too long, complains it's breaking normal forum conventions and now seems to be trying to provoke a fight with his "go forth" euphemism!
From disinterested party to troll in less than 2 weeks! What's it all really about?0 -

I don't think I will be paying for my gas and electric with EDF either, thanks to my spend on the UW cash card. My needs have recently changed, hence my change in supplier. I will still be a satisified UW customer as well!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

You do not need to have gas and electricity with UW to benefit from the 'cash'back card.
The only benefit you would not get is daytime (& evening) calls included in the plan.
As such using the 'cash'back against the cost of gas & electricity from UW is disingenious and irrelevant. The true comparison should be with the cost of daytime (& evening calls).
PS - I work for British Gas. Some UW financial beneficiaries use this to deflect the discussion away from UW. Do you wonder why they feel the need to do this?0 -
It's nice to see a slight shift in attitude from the anti mob with regards to the cashback card. Can we now just agree that it's only that old dinosaur Quentin who doesn't think this is a great idea?
Can we all agree (with one exception, obviously) that Quentin's card doesn't actually exist? Notwithstanding whether the punter chooses to take one service, 2, 3 or 4, the cashback card has no equal at the moment. Of course, you need to shop at the retailers listed (there's a big chunk of the High Street there, though, and new names seem to be added at regular intervals) but do that and NO OTHER CARD offers the level of cashback/discount/Quentin's 'amount paid into your account'
call it what you will. Agreed?
Someone who regularly shops at Sainsburys could be accused of chucking money away by NOT taking at least one UW service. Agreed? Is there ANY common ground here?
PS Of course, the £100 annual bonus/discount/'amount paid into your account' call it what you will promotion increases the pool of punters who would benefit from taking the 4 services but I'll leave that discussion for another day...Call me Carmine....

If you have the magazine, as I do, then your reading is defective - which comes as no surprise!
All you are proving is you 'don't know what you are talking about'
They most certainly DO NOT have a Best Buy award for energy from WHICH.
Also in the WHICH magazine, which you appear not to understand, WHICH also say that UW gas and electricity is 20% more expensive than the cheapest tariff.
Do you also have difficulty understanding what that means?0 -

Thanks, this is exactly what Jim and I have been saying for a while.
You do not need to have gas and electricity with UW to benefit from the 'cash'back card.
*Tugs forelock to mech* as it was he who pointed out to myself initially the utter ludicrously of the UW discount card subterfuge. To most normal folk, free broadband and phone would be fantastic, subject to spend on discount card, possibly even a profit!!
But no, the indoctrinated reps feel compelled to defend UW energy prices no matter how daft or fascicle their argument. I just wish they would admit the obvious, then there would be far less embarrassment. A little honesty can go a long way to enhancing your credibility. Don't ask uptomyneck, embarrassment with him knows no bounds.;)0 -
Is there a contract which we can cancel ?0
