BTW don't let them bamboozle you with wireless and fixed modems, if you already have a wireless modem it will work with the BB connection the cost rises dramatically if you choose the wireless option by an extra £10 per month another rip off if you are not IT/BB savvy.
The thing that has naffed me off is now the rep doesn't want to know if a problem arises, ermmm!
Really I can so far only give it the thumbs down for now, it's up to them to get the thumbs up....we'll see.
Sorry to hear of your problems - as far as I'm aware, wireless broadcall is only £5 per month extra?
I'm not IT/BB savvy, but will any existing wireless router you have work every time with UW BB?
It appears that you're okay/happy with the energy, having felt ripped off by BG, your BB speed has now been sorted, you're had problems with your previous supplier, yet you still give UW the 'thumbs down'. What more did you expect that you have not got? I'm interested to know what problems you have had that the rep doesn't want to know about?Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -
They hadn't even close the Tiscali account that they promised they would do, Tiscali didn't help, the MAC number was given out and then billed me for non-services. Tiscali are another problem anyway and I took this as an oversight on UW part. The worst bit is the telephone and I've batted on about that on other threads, enough not to have to go through it again.
Tip!
I don't know what the ID told you, but surely it's up to Tiscali to close your account with them, esp. if they have issued a MAC code?
What is wrong with the UW telephone service that you have 'batted on about' on other threads, enough not to have to go through it again.' You've only made 5 posts on here.
I'm not doubting you, just interested to see what other ID's are promising, and whether or not they should be given what they are actually able to do.Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -
I switched to UW about two months ago I came across from British gas that were ripping me off{so what's new:cool:}At first I was quite impressed by the lad that came around and went through it with us, however, his technical knowledge on Broadband was in a word 'eyewash' and I could have run rings around him but being polite I let it go.
Once connected to their Gas, Electric and Broadcall services things were ok until on checking the the speed on my modem it was reading what it was before, they hadn't upgraded the line, a quick call sorted it. Then a week later I got a bill from Tiscali whom were the previous provider for Telephone/BB .

The thing that has naffed me off is now the rep doesn't want to know if a problem arises, ermmm! Hello this is your franchise we bought the services from! So now you have your MLM ascension you couldn't give a toss - that's how it comes across to me. Now I deal direct with the head office, I hope they take his promotion off him:mad:
I only went over to UW to do my daughters partner a favour as the rep is one of his clients so I'll give it a year and then move on unless they dramatically !!!! up again then in which case it will be sooner.

I've just read all your other posts, and now I am confused. You say you have BroadCall and slate UW, yet this morning you post that you're with Opal Telecom?Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -

The debate certainly isn't rational, if you think it is, based on what's written here then you have a problem! The 'debate' here is pure pap to anyone wanting to make informed choices, because it's no longer about UW, it's just about points scoring, ego, bullying and cliques.
I try and keep any discussion on an adult level, why not scan through the reps posts to read the childish name calling for which I've never stooped. You will find its two reps in particular who resort to calling MSE members childish names when their arguments doesn't stand up to close scrutiny.
Unfortunately I've been a particular victim of their antics, not that it bothers me. It just shows the real nature of the folk UW are employing. One new rep Rael even threaten Cardew with violence in this thread, which disgracefully every rep and carmine made excuses for, not one condemned this flagrant abuse, shocking.0 -
I know Carmine, I thought you would like to see what he is telling people on here. It certainly was a strange day, Jimexbox made some very perculiar posts which he seems to have forgotton about! I would look back and repost but I can't really be bothered!
Why put a memeber on ignore? One that is abusive, certainly. I simply won the argument and he couldn't handle the humiliation. So on the 'ignore' list I went, sad0 -
Non one has harrassed any of you for making mistakes
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

NigeWick,
A straight question.
Do you(even as a UW ID) honestly believe that the result of the Which customers survey on gas and electricity is unbiased?
UW come top in every category - even value. Do you not feel that WHICH pointing out they are 20% more expensive indicates that they find this 'unusual'?
No doubt you will ignore the fact that WHICH state that UW is 20% more expensive.
Pro-rata, over 5 times as many people voted for UW than BG.
A UW ID has stated that he received an email warning him in advance of the survey and urging a vote.
There are no checks that those who responded even have gas and electricity, let alone are with company X.
Such a survey, where vested interests can vote, is totally discredited and meaningless.
No, I do not feel that WHICH? stating that UW prices are dearer than the cheapest to be unusual as for a number of bare figures they are correct. I have no problem with that.
It seems that pro rata Utility Warehouse customers are happier than those of British Gas and some other suppliers.
I am a UW distributor in one of the largest groups and I did not receive such an e-mail. Further, I am a UW customer/distributor and member of WHICH? who did not complete any surveys.
As there are no checks on whether a person is a customer of a particular company perhaps other companies, Quentin, Jimexbox and yourself skewed the results against Utility Warehouse. But I do not believe that is the case.
In your opinion, WHICH? surveys are influenced by vested interests. I have an opposing view to yours that I honestly believe is unbiased. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.
