I'm still not tempted to switch to the dearer Sainsburys. My local Sainsburys doesn't even stock the 4p curry sauce, I checked.
I wouldnt be too upset, I tried some the other night, it was ok but I certainly wouldnt be buying any more of it. It tastes remarkably like the sweet curry sauce you get in McDonalds
Fine to dunk a fry or McNugget in, not very nice as a cook in sauce.
Maybe I've just got a more refined palate than some on hereMissing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
As a confirmed Tesco 'veteran', I would seriously doubt that, PC...:DCall me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Time for some facts mixed in with all the macho posturing?
Month of September, my bill will come in at £29. I have of course used the UW cashback card to purchase stuff I would ordinarily have bought on my bank debit card. For the £29 here's what I got
Gas 285
Electric 352
Up to 24mb unlimited broadband
Phone line rental
All calls 24/7 (approx 300 of them, including some intl ones)
Club fee
Free calls to UW CS/tech support etc
£10,000 accidental death insurance.
Any of you on a currently available tariff that would get just the gas and electric for £29, let alone the phone/BB/calls?Call me Carmine....

Matter of taste as you say, I only use supermarkets for stuff I cant really buy elsewhere, most of my food comes from local farmshops and butchers.
I used to like taking advantage of Tescos generous R&R policy and used to shop there because of that, I may go there once a month now if that (sainsburys even less)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Out of interest, what speed do you ACTUALLY get?
If you go to speedtest.net you can get a test and post the results here (it even gives you the code for forums)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

What about 'normal' people who don't make calls during the day as they are gainfully employed. Why not choose UW broadband and phone (free weekend calls). You could get these for free if you UW discount card spend was sufficiently large enough. You could even make a profit!!
Then choose a far cheaper online energy tariff. I realise due to you unique circumstances and predilection for ringing 0870/0845 numbers, its a non starter. Though for most normal people what I have suggested it defiantly the way to go.0 -

Opal telecom is the one that UW have assigned to my account, check through Speedtest confirms it and it you track back the DNS it's pointing at Talk Talk servers, both Opal Telecom , Talk Talk , Carphonewarehouse are connected I thought you would have known that!
Thanks. I knew that our BB was TalkTalk/CPW 're-branded' but wasn't aware that Opal was part of that too.
I wouldn't need to know it. I've never been asked or had any issues in 3 years.Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0
