Eh?
OK you recieve you bill with discount, then leave. Please explain how that would not work?
Your mate quentin even says in the last link you provide....
As the discount could be quite large, then it may be worth timing a switch so that it completes shortly after a bill is due to be produced.
Then the next and final bill will only cover a short period, with a corresponding loss of just a little discount.
Wayhayy! We're getting there! So now I'm assuming you accept that you DON'T get the discount paid annually in arrears but every quarter? And now I'm also assuming you accept that the discount WILL NOT BE GRANTED on the final bill? Yes?
I have a feeling you might actually be with npower, you know. Have you checked your bills recently?Call me Carmine....

If you tell so carmine, I believe you. Im trusting like that you see. So you would agree that if timed correctly switching suppliers will cost you very little, if nothing?
Any chance I can ask you questions about UW?0 -

Why, is your lack of knowledge regarding your energy supplier embarrassing you? I do find it difficult to treat your posts on here with any gravitas when you clearly are so lacking in knowledge regarding your own supplier. To not know about the no discount on final bill T&C is unbelievable for someone who spends part of his days querying the small print of UWs T&Cs. Even you must surely recognise the irony in all this. ALL energy companies have sneaky ways of doing things (note I said ALL and that would obviously include UW), that's the nature of the beast.
The reason I got involved on here originally was I thought the level of distrust of UW was hypocritical. Now you have compounded that view by making it entirely clear you have no real idea of the T&Cs of the Big 6 supplier you have been with for years. Your actions don't exactly forward the cause of the AUWF, I note not one has come to your aid in all this. I sincerely hope they renew your annual membership.Call me Carmine....

Do you agree with me, that if timed correctly a switch would cost you very little if anything? Please answer at least one question I put to you.0

HaHa. Of course if you time the switch the impact of the lost discount (that you didn't know you would be losing, lol) can be lessened. Problem being switching energy companies is not like switching supermarkets etc - you can never accurately gauge the exact time the switch will take place so it's always going to be squeaky bum time waiting. Unless the vast majority of Eon customers are like you used to be before I put you right - entirely ignorant of the fact in the first place. You even think the discount is granted annually in arrears, for instance. Then they will get a shock no matter how long the period the last bill is for.
You should thank me - I've given you info that will hopefully save you money in the long run. The only embarrassing thing for you is the info had to be delivered publicly in this thread, lol.
Would you say this is a sneaky Eon T&C?Call me Carmine....

We got there in the end then. You finally admit that if timed correctly you will not be penalised for leaving Eon. Phew it was a long drawn out affair, but we got there in the end.0

Carmine, Ive said all along leave after your bill. You consistently belittled me for this. When you are forced to admit that in fact I am right, you resort to childish name calling. You cant be right all the time mate, I wont hold it against you.;)0 -

Are you like in this in real life? I'll leave the more intelligent readers to decide who's really embarrassed themself here. I note the AUWF are very silent on this one - you must have embarrassed even them.
A summary:
1. You stated that Eon don't cancel the discount on their final bill. WRONG.
2. You stated you receive an annual discount paid in arrears. WRONG.
3. You keep digging that hole even though you must be able to hear an Aussie accent by now. CORRECT.Call me Carmine....

You stated that Eon wont give a discount on your final bill - WRONG
If you time your switch to complete after your final bill, you will recieve your discount. Even you have finally admitted that this is correct. You're starting to tie yourself up in knots mate.
Yes, I fully accept that my discount is paid quarterly, I was incorrect, I fully accept this. Though your persistence that Eon will not pay a discount on your final bill is bordering on insanity.0
