my fixed rate deal with SP finishes on 31st aug, i'm seriusly thinking of going back to UW (i only left them because they didn't have any fixed rate deals to offer me last year) they were pretty good over the two to three years i was with them for my duel fuels previosly so maybe it's better the devil you know!

Thank you for the 'heads up ' carmine. Even you admitted that I was indeed correct in my assumption that timing your switch after a quarterly bill would negate any loss of discount. I know you found it hard to agree with me, so thanks again.

Any comment on my Eon predicted bill? £257 less than the cheapest offered by UW? Seeing that I concider you my Internet friend;), can I ask you some questions on UW with you blanking me.

I'm surprised you're still here after yesterday's embarrassments. Kudos to you for that - you must have a thicker skin than Edwina Currie. :D

If you don't want to lose any more money on your shopping, I believe Quentin knows a UW-beating cash back card he can let you have a link to. Only problem being this link seems about as elusive as your usage figures at the moment. :p

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

    Cheers, internet friend.;)

Can I ask you some questions on UW? You seem far more knowledgeable than I regarding energy suppliers, so I would appreciate your comments on some questions. Would you answer them if I post them?

Im just asking in advance as you seem keen to talk a lot about every other energy supplier other than UW in a UW specific thread. I would appreciate a yes or no response, thanks.

If you could show me how I could save money, yes. Its just carmine wont answer any questions I pose regarding UW, even though he has extensive knowledge of my tarrif and UW in general. Ive even asked if I can ask a question....
  • Anyway, back on Planet Earth  Looks like you're gonna have to add me to the list of people with negative UW bills this month. :D Now, before Quentin and that young gamer get their Y-Fronts in a twist  this bill only relates to the service I had in July, which was phone line and U/L BB and only from 10/7/09. But I have accrued a net credit of £12 on my UW bill this month. Seriously, how good is that? :money::beer::j

So just to be clear (doh, bit daft me), you will not answer the question as to whether I can ask a couple of questions about UW?

Really mate, I thought after yesterdays helpful posting about my tarrif, you would be more willing to answer a question or two about UW? Oh well, its seems you're quite happy to discuss Eon in the UW thread, but not UW. This thread gets more confusing by the day.
  • I see that UW reps did not make much comment on the bias about what customers to gather? So next time in the car park will they A Target the nice new cars or B the old cars that could be in for the scrappage scheme. The problem is a simple one Telecom Plus bases its business on a cult religion platform not a very good one at that. May ID’s pay their money and do not get many customers. The average in the “ranks” is 15 apart from the hard heavy hitters. If you look on the average 30,000 ID’s then that is 4 customers each per year. I note a comment about the fact people who work for T+ cannot be ID’s as well. It would be obvious to anyone that if this was the case they would chuck their jobs in at HQ and become ID’s. That is if the plan was as good as it is made out to be. Cash back card, with any card there are risks, but a wise person uses a card that they know if something goes wrong they can at least get their money back. What is the use of spending say 1,000.00 the company goes bust and you have no re-dress? Saying that to get £50.00 back you have to spend 1,000.00 a month on the card BUT the issue is its per month so where would the negative bills be? People who in general do not use much don’t spend much either so again what is the chances of them getting a negative bill?
What ID’s have to remember is that regardless of what people say on this site, the dreams that they offer are far from achievable in a normal man’s world.
    Next WAM events.
“There are some of my team who have signed up to do some of the Win-A-Mini events at Focus DIY that are being sponsored by Network HQ. This means to say that you don't have to search for venues, pay for a stall or pitch, take a Gazeebo, Display Boards, balloons, find a Mini from a local BMW Mini dealer, etc.
You just have to turn up with a bundle of WAM application forms, a bundle of slips to hand out to invite people to visit the stand, some UW Pens, a clip board, your diary, bags of enthusiasm and a huge smile. You also need to be fully dressed, sporting your UW shirt, fleece, jacket and possibly a brolly if you have them! If not you can certainly sport your button badges. We're back to the Meerkats again, "It's Simple - (squeek)".
If you are new or out of practice gathering customers, this is what you should do to get back into the swing again.
You are not expected to try to sell the punters the full range of services in 5 minutes flat. Just introduce the idea through the questions on the form and then book an appointment to visit them at a mutually convenient time. Try it for size, you could come to like it - a lot.”
All fully dressed up in what you need to promote the business which again you have had to pay for such as pens etc.... oh and of course every time they find the contract forms are not legally binding they have to change them again.
A shrewd ID moves on and learns how to make multiple streams of income not one that reduces over time. As have T&CB who are now in Spain.
It is also apparent that some ID’s are not aware of the legal system since you cannot issue a WUO without first issuing a statutory demand.
Next post (how to use fear of the current climate to get people to join.)
