Switching takes one day. It can howver take up to 8 weeks to process.
I'm just glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. Doesn't sound much fun trying to keep up with all the different T&Cs let alone tariffs.
I'm glad I left BG 10 years ago.

Tell me about it - here's poster Premier's experience of leaving Eon and their use of the no discount on final bill T&C. I hope jimexbox takes note.

I guess the best way to circumvent this "sneaky" rule is to try and arrange a switch as soon as possible after a quarterly billing date.
They convieniently tried to charge me an exhorbitant amount based of a completely wrong estimated reading.
So, as one does, I contacted them with a correct customer reading and expected a revised bill accordingly.
No, they said they would cancel the bill they had just sent and combine the amount owed into the final bill they would produce following the switch.
Sneaky...bill covering approximately 4.5 months and no discounts.
That (and another issue) means I would be unlikely to ever go back to E.On despite their letters often asking me to consider going back. I've a very long memoryCall me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I know, I'm on holiday, but I've got a blackberry and can't resist!
I see not even satisfied UW customers are taken seriously now? Bizarre!
Carmine-youre legend!
I also see that Quentin has resurfaced and is throwing his weight around. Still using information from a password protected private website to discredit UW too...
I'm not going to go away mate-any chance of you answering my questions, or will you skulk off again?

Yes your obviously not allowed to be a satisfied customer on this thread! If your happy with UW your either a liar or have a 'vested' interest in the company. I too find it very bizarre!
But i'm still a happy customer - even more so after receiving my bill today!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I'm afraid in some weird people's minds it is impossible to be a satisfied UW customer without having a vested interest.
No worries, we've observed today what intelligence quota we are dealing with in the AUWF. 'It's not incredibly high' would the kindest thing I could say.
Anyway, totally off-topic but we've had a book club previously, now it's music club. Here's exhibit 1 in an occasional series on surprising song choices for artists/bands (but IMO wholly successfully pulled off, if you pardon the expression)

And do Eon give their discount annually or quarterly, jimexbox? And do they grant discount on the final bill? You didn't exactly cover yourself in glory yesterday, did you?
Plus you don't get anything back on probably your biggest monthly expense (groceries and fuel). We do. Hmm...Call me Carmine....

Incidentally, anyone else in the household (over the age of 13 I think) can have a CashBack Card so when they use it to buy stuff, discount comes off the bill payers bill. This goes some way to answering the AUWF incrdulity that people can actually get a negative or zero bill. There is another reason.

Thank you for the 'heads up ' carmine. Even you admitted that I was indeed correct in my assumption that timing your switch after a quarterly bill would negate any loss of discount. I know you found it hard to agree with me, so thanks again.
Any comment on my Eon predicted bill? £257 less than the cheapest offered by UW? Seeing that I concider you my Internet friend;), can I ask you some questions on UW with you blanking me.0
