The art of writing nonsense.
What are the chances that johnjames joined up expecting to be a millionaire and not having to put any effort in.Quentin's Cashback Card?
Let no man, advert or internet site tell me where to get my Utilities0 -
Johnjames1, this thread is about energy, saving money, and value for money, not a place for you to rubbish the T+ business model and give us the reasons why you failed at it. Your maths are good though, yes you would have to spend £1000 to get £50 back, well done. Some of us do spend that much too.I have a customer who spends £700 on food alone at sainsburys...
Did you qualify your position or quit before that?Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -
I just hope JJ1 doesn't get the company wound up before i get my £12 back . I wonder how the Freedom of Information request is going....:pCall me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I am at a loss to see how he failed. He says he had a team. Unless he and they did not have any customers then he will have been earning an income. So he hasn't failed. The company ask very little of any ID in order to receive an ongoing monthly income.
If he joined believing that making money from UW was easy he is at best naiive. It isn't a get rich quick scheme. Like ALL businesses it requires proper planning and a proper realisation that it takes effort.

Get real JJ1.
If he had a team,(presumably with customers), then I am also at a loss to see how he failed! If he's resigned his position, maybe he's now kicking himself. The only way you can fail with this, is to resign. Although, given a time frame, there's nothing to stop him re starting his distributorship.
I agree, it's not a 'get rich quick' scheme and requires work, planning and a seismic shift in thinking, a very steep learning curve.
But, I can honestly say, that I've never had so much fun, met so many interesting, open minded people in my life! If this is work - bring it on.'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

Now, before Quentin and that young gamer get their Y-Fronts in a twist  this bill only relates to the service I had in July, which was phone line and U/L BB and only from 10/7/09. But I have accrued a net credit of £12 on my UW bill this month. Seriously, how good is that? :money::beer::j
Through using the cashback card? With telephone and broadband only? Isn't that what Cardew suggested ages ago?
So why would anyone want to also get the expensive gas and electricity as well?0 -
I was approached yesterday by a UW rep - never having heard of them I took some info and decided to check them out on here.
Got to be honest and say it has been really frustrating as I've read pages of this thread and all I seem to read is people bickering.
Where can I get an honest overview?0 -

Not on this thread that's for sure.
I would recommend that you use MSE recommended energyhelpline to compare your current energy tariff, possible cheaper ones and the UW tariffs. Taking into account a discount card which if you use heavily will make the UW cheaper (from a very high level) Then you will need to carefully decide if the phone/broadband packages is suitable for your needs. Take what their distributors say with a pinch of salt, they have a vested interest.
Moving your telephone/broadband and energy requirements over to anyone is a major step and not to be rushed. Research its yourself and come to your own conclusions.0 -

The bickering is inevitable in a thread where so many of those posting have a vested interest in promoting UW.
The honest overview is:
1. UW gas and electricity is just about the most expensive available in UK. You can confirm this on any of the comparison websites recommended by Martin.
2. Their Triple Value Guarantee is rendered meaningless by the small print of the T & Cs.
3. Their telecoms package is reasonably competitive.
4. The pre-pay cash card can enable you to make good savings.0
