Woohoo...just rec'd best bill ever from BT (it's a final one, lol) - almost £12 in credit! I totally forgot that BT billed for line rental in advance. Do UW bill in advance for line rental? I genuinely don't know :o

No, it's in arrears. :D You use the services first, then pay for 'em.

So, it's Pay As You Went. :D

I appreciate Carmine has got no contract Broadcall.

But if your on Phone Line Rental (No Broadband) with a 12 month contract, its not PAYG. :D

MAZ can you use indirect access codes like 18185 on UW?

And to think Cardew calls me a troll.... :D

Sadly I cannot claim that I was the first on MSE to use that term for your posts, I merely followed all the other posters.

You surely cannot dispute, in this particular thread, that is an apt description for your contributions??

Long before the introduction of your beloved cashcard you were singing the praises of UW. You surely you cannot deny that stance was to oppose your perceived opponents rather than any merit in UW?

You have been the scourge of the Big 6 Utility companies in this Forum; their high prices, huge profits and disgraceful sales tactics have all come in for savage criticism.

Yet in your 700+ posts in this thread, not a word of criticism of UW gas and electricity prices, which by any measure are just about the highest in UK.

Their disgraceful sales tactics and discredited TVG has attracted no adverse comment.

UW’s high profitability, and consequent high price of the shares you own, apparently demonstrate it is a wonderful company in your eyes. Their profits are not obscene like all the other dreadful utility companies.

Your unbalanced input to this thread and your incessant and illogical attacks on any critic of UW, without ever addressing any substantive issue, make the term Troll appropriate.

So instead of telling me my faults – which for the sake of argument I will concede are valid, why not answer the points I raised above.

We obviously differ about the definition of a troll, Cradew. My definition is someone who tells bare-faced lies in order to try and further his argument. French & Saunders on your TV again tonight?

And I simply love the way you subtly suggest there's a huge tide of anti-Carmine feeling on here. Of course I have posters who aren't exactly keen on what I say (because I tell people what I think of them) but you seem to believe that everyone loves you for some strange reason, lol. My ratio of thanked posts to actual posts is far higher than you, my friend. An explanation for that calls for that legendary twisted logic you often employ.

UW is the highest investment I've ever made in any energy company, their profit ratio is obscene that's why they have been a good investment vehicle for me :A

Have you seen carphonewarehouse's latest figures, KN? That's why I was asking chrisclipson (the poster who believes every company that makes high profits simply must be ripping off its customers) to confirm who he used for his telephony needs (he uses taltalk, lol). He hasn't been back, funnily enough.

We shall have to disagree then on the definition of a Troll; but I am perfectly serious when I say that is exactly how you operate.

Once again you haven't addressed a single point I made; yet again your only tactic is to attack people - French and Saunders eh - how original; implications that alcohol is a factor to follow? I assume that you won't use your assertion that I was embarrassed by BG Click/BG2010 saga again.

If you come on this forum and praise UW then it stands to reason you will get votes of thanks from all the UW salesmen - as the ratio of thanks is so important to you, I am trying to help you boost your self-esteem. Do you not appreciate how crass it is to worry about such matters? If it really is important to you why not post about 50% off Dr Scholl's corn plasters on the appropriate forum.

You are obviously not lacking in brain power or education, but surely you can appreciate the validity of my points about troll like activity with regard to UW?
  • I wouldn't touch any communications company in this current climate, unless there was a huge crash and the shares became pennies.

though CPW does have a decent dividend record up 27% over last 5 years, their profits has actually dropped in relation to turnover by 5% over same period. They are not my type of company.

Your propensity for hypocrisy knows no bounds. Only yesterday evening you were mocking a poster's spelling/grammar. I mean, how CRASS is that? One thing you and I have in common is we don't exactly struggle with the written word. The difference between us (and it's a HUGE difference) is you seek to denigrate someone who is clearly not as 'learned' as yourself whereas I am only interested in bursting bubbles that have become over-inflated (i.e people like you). In effect, you are the archetypal bully. You revel in riding roughshod over people you feel 'superior' to. You tried it with me when I'd just joined but came massively unstuck. You've resented my presence on here ever since.
