Yes but as the technology advances, it needs near perfect line conditions, otherwise there is very little increase in speed from ADSL2 to ADSL2+.
I'm simply interested in what actual ADSL2+ users on UW really achieve, nothing more. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
espresso, how can I check for you if I am on ADSL2?I am a Utility Warehouse customer and distributor0

Cheers for this, so thats what ADSL is all about, am I correct in thinking then ADSL2 is the one where the 24Mb comes into play?
I recall dial up, good god how did we live with that! :rotfl:
ADSL2 is up to 12Mb, ADSL2+ is up to 24Mb, however not all ISP's offering ADSL2+ market it as 24Mb probably because that speed is very rarely achieved. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

It would appear tinybills4u has experienced a 50% increase in line speed, which to me is fairly significant. Granted, nowhere near 24mb (he wishes, I think he would have to have a penthouse flat built on top of the exchange to get that, lol) but still a significant increase. I'm sure people were saying the same thing also in the days of 512k broadband. It's clear that the cheapest way to go about speed increases is at the exchange as opposed to replacing all the copper wiring.Call me Carmine....

LOL. I wonder if it realises a premium figure due to location? I would hope the estate agent at least makes mention of the potential BB speed in the sales brochure.Call me Carmine....
