Carmine whats your line attenuation on your phone line? As the fact that your exchange is 'fully' enabled is beside the point. Your BB speed will still be limited to the distance you are from the exchange.0

There is no distinction between somebody who listens to a practice pitch and join decides to sign up, and, one who listens to a well rehearsed pitch and decides to become a customer.
There is if you are asking for them to help you over a training issue by letting you practice on them!
(After seeing all your responses, I accept you cannot see that)0 -
If you cannot see that your original post isn't misleading by not mentioning what you now say "should be clear", then there is no hope.
You failed to make clear that at the very least they have to buy a risky prepayment card, and pay its ongoing monthly charges, pay the top up fees, accept the risks highlighted about putting money on to the card, and spend in excess of £320 every month at uw designated stores in order to get this deal.
Are you suggesting that every person who posts here should post every piece of information every time they post, even when they have posted said information previously and/or believe it to be obvious, and if they fail to do this they are open to accusations of misleading people? Do you not see how ridiculous that is?
BTW My parents are aware of are aware of all of the above mentioned minor risks and fees. the approximate monthly cost I described includes monthly charges/top up fees etc.
The fact remains that my statement regarding their average, overall monthly costs is correct.
the above is, however, merely quibbling over technicalities. My original post which you seem to have entirely missed (ignored?) the point of was:
No, I accuse you of being abusive by falsely (and repeatedly) accusing me of 'cynically' and 'intentionally' posting misleading information.
by your reckoning, my friend 'abused' our friendship when he introduced me to UW. As it happens I am saving a considerable amount of money with UW so you would be wrong. I imagine my friend would feel insulted by your claim, if he were aware of it.
by your reckoning I have 'abused' my relationship with my parents by telling them about UW. They are currenlty getting their phone (line & calls) and broadband internet through UW at an overall cost of about £6per month on average. Do you think they feel 'abused' by this.
The problem we have here is that you seem to think that by paying £200 and signing a piece of paper, we suddenly become evil incarnate, willing to sucker all of our friends and family for a few measly pounds commission each month. I find this attitude quite abusive also. The reality for most of us is this: we like the UW package, we tend to think other people may also like the package and, as in my examples above, we could well be doing them a major favour by telling them about it.
that's really all there is to it.

The fact that your parents are aware of what you left unsaid in your post doesn't excuse you posting the misleading "headline" that uw supplies phone line, internet and calls for £6/month!
And had I not corrected you, then others reading this thread would have been mislead!0 -

You corrected nothing. My parents are paying an overall cost of around £6 per month for their Phone line, calls and broadband.
of course, others may not achieve the same level of discount (some may achieve more) but the fact remains that my post was correct.
anyway, now everybody knows that the overall price they are paying includes discount earned via the cashback card (although this was never a secret), how about responding to the actual point of the post rather that nit picking? No, I accuse you of being abusive by falsely (and repeatedly) accusing me of 'cynically' and 'intentionally' posting misleading information.

You can see how the uw is portrayed via its rally video (where big al teaches the reps how to manipulate the minds of "prospects"), its training videos, its detail free presentation when it gets into peoples homes, and its advice on how to use your friends under false pretences.
If you are unhappy about this portrayal, take it up with the people who can do something about it.
Though read your colleague NigeWick's attitude over the issue of using your friendships to see how other uw reps have a different view than the one you take.0 -

I've tried to be helpful before and suggest a better deal but couldn't find one. It seems like a good one to me.;)
Maybe some others will try as well instead of unsuccessfully trying to find fault with UW.:o
Shame they spend all their time ranting on about nothing.
I must say carmine you are a prime candidate for forum member of the year.Quentin's Cashback Card?
Let no man, advert or internet site tell me where to get my Utilities0
