And your problem with showing somebody, if they are interested, how to pay less for their utilities is?
No problem at all.
But this reply of yours, quoting the uw plan*, (see below), over how to cynically use your friends natural inclination to help out over a work related training problem to get you the opportunity to sell them services shows us what sort of people we are dealing with if we find we have a uw rep amongst our circle!
*Here's another video that demonstrates Group Director, Shannon Griffin booking a 'practice appointment', no doubt with a view to signing up a multi-service customer for at least four services, because that's what the top distributors do.0 -

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
You accuse me of being "abusive" by saying uw reps are prepared to stoop to any level to get business.
No, I accuse you of being abusive by falsely (and repeatedly) accusing me of 'cynically' and 'intentionally' posting misleading information.
by your reckoning, my friend 'abused' our friendship when he introduced me to UW. As it happens I am saving a considerable amount of money with UW so you would be wrong. I imagine my friend would feel insulted by your claim, if he were aware of it.
by your reckoning I have 'abused' my relationship with my parents by telling them about UW. They are currenlty getting their phone (line & calls) and broadband internet through UW at an overall cost of about £6per month on average. Do you think they feel 'abused' by this.
The problem we have here is that you seem to think that by paying £200 and signing a piece of paper, we suddenly become evil incarnate, willing to sucker all of our friends and family for a few measly pounds commission each month. I find this attitude quite abusive also. The reality for most of us is this: we like the UW package, we tend to think other people may also like the package and, as in my examples above, we could well be doing them a major favour by telling them about it.
that's really all there is to it.

Anyone (but you, apparently) would see it as cynical.
What's wrong with simply telling your friend you want to tell him about the uw club?
Why con him into thinking you need his help as a friend?
But if you need this explaining to you..........................!0 -
I see we are on a new page, so I will quote Carmine's query again:-
So am I! I have noticed that since the 'challenge this price' posts arrived from yourself, myself and others the angle of 'attack' has shifted to how the product is sold. Even if UW could be proven to be the worst company in the whole world of commerce, Quentin has previously made it clear that he has no morals whilst on this board as this is a money saving site. As he's not currently claiming to have you on ignore, perhaps you could post your challenge again and let him use his legendary analytical powers and endless spare time to get you a better deal? Surely that would be the REAL result in this thread? If UW can be proven not to compete on price on a site peopled by extreme money savers, surely that's end of argument? We'll see..
I'll repost my proposed deal again. You never know, maybe one of the detractors will be shamed into action...

Sounds a great deal.
But why is it advertised as costing at least £19.99/month (plus the minimum £1.73/month club fee) on the uw website?
Or are you misleading us over this too?0 -
Carmine Im only looking for a new energy supplier, UW are very expensive. You can keep spamming this thread with your figures, it doesn't change the fact that UW are very expensive. Do you agree?0

What's wrong with simply telling your friend you want to tell him about the uw club?.
That's fine later on, but starting off with that approach when very new to the business will lead to a conversational meeting or a flustered half arsed description of the services over the phone and a bunch of questions the new distributor isn't really prepared for at that time. The whole point of the excercise is to practice through the presentation in a relaxed manner with 'friendly faces' (and with the tariff guide/service brochure etc handy, for any questions that may arise) before going out into the big wide world of cold market selling. Remember that many new distributors have never done any selling before and may not be too comfortable at first. Why con him into thinking you need his help as a friend?
Where is the con? it is a genuine favour from a genuine friend. But if you need this explaining to you..........................!
stuck key?
