I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Not to my knowledge. I do ask for them back if the person does not become a customer. I have "lost" a few but most people who do not want the services do not want to keep the booklets either.

I thought you no longer actively promoted the business.:D0 -

The Mummy business is going very well! I'm getting plenty of sleep and Ava is doing wonderfully! I may be a little strange because I am missing going to work and talking to grown ups during the day though! :rotfl::heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

janninnew http://www.pre-maturebaby.com/TRACK2.wav I suggest you listen to this. (1) It shows how you are treated when in legal dispute, (2) a gap and then the HMRC stating themselves that they are illegal VAT invoices. (This does not affect any domestic customers but business customer who pay VAT cannot pay it legally and I have this confirmed. (3) is an illegal breach of the Data Protection Act after they overestimated bills in three months by a total of £1,000 Yet they refuse to state WHERE they get their info on.
Other recordings have senior staff leaving threatening text messages, stating "you do not know who you are dealing with" and "you have opened a can of worms."
Any business including mine is only as good as when it does things wrong it puts it right not to try and creep out of it.
Also we have evidence that they are breaching statutory rights and cutting corners.
As to the email I still have it as I used to be an ID where they state customer preference.
Finally I do not post anything unless I can prove it and in one conversation I stated I was going to contact the Sun Newspaper and I have never heard a company back down so quick.
(You can legally record conversations on a domestic line without informing the person.)
As to comment about loosing customers, the average retention rate is 50%. The average ID has around 15 customers and the payments ID's get have dropped by around 35% by policies Telecom Plus stated "they would never bring in." Now if they do this to ID's where do customers stand?

The consistent mantra on here is that energy prices are just about the highest in the uk and we should look at comparison sites to verify this. So, I decided to do exactly that. To remove the distortion of incentives, dual fuel discounts etc., i've looked at Gas and Electricity seperately.
For 8600 kWh of gas usage, the following is revealed. There are only two cheaper tariffs than UW Warehouse Medium User that I could switch to online - nPower Sign Online 17 and e-On Age concern 2. They are both £7 per year cheaper than UW. So it appears that UW Gas prices are pretty competitive for me.
For Electricity, I used 2000 kWh last year. Looking at the list of suppliers for this, UW is £62 more expensive than the cheapest. Unlike the gas, there are many cheaper options I could switch to online.
So it looks as if it's the Electricity price that's the one that is making UW energy uncompetitive at the moment (for me anyway). This pattern may of course change slightly when UW announce their price reductions at the start of next month. Any drop in gas price will almost certainly make it the cheapest available for me, but I suspect electricity will still be considerably cheaper elsewhere.
Regulars on this thread will be aware that all of Uptomyeyeballs’ many posts on this thread have been in praise of UW – although he professes not to be a UW salesman; but is aware of their future pricing policy.
You might also note the phrase “To remove the distortion of incentives, dual fuel discounts etc., i've looked at Gas and Electricity seperately(sic).” Could that be that because UW do not offer any discounts?
Of course 8,600kWh pa for gas is well under half the average consumption(42%) and 2,000kWh electricity is 60% of average.
For my area(Midlands) taking 8,600kWh gas without considering electricity, UW are in 12th position. However why would anyone not consider electricity? – we all use the stuff!! and especially as the discounts on offer are attractive(distortion in ‘UW speak’)
So taking the very low figure of 8,600kWh gas and 2,000kWh electricity for my area, UW are in 60th position. The cheapest tariff(SP online 9) is £453 and UW cost £616, So UW are £163 or 36% more expensive.
I could use figures for my over average consumption showing UW are some £800 more expensive for myself, but that would be as unrepresentative Uptomyeyeballs’ consumption and it wouldn’t do to have any distortion would it?
So taking someone with the UK with average consumption of 20,500kWh gas and 3,300kWh electricity, the cheapest tariff would cost £883(and there are loads of tariffs around that figure) UW would charge £1,199
Therefore UW are £316 or 35.8% more expensive. That is the ‘reality of UW’s pricing and not what their apologists would have you believe!
