Happy Birthday - have a great day!! :j
  • NickJW, happy birthday:bdaycake:Have a great day.
Am declaring £289.71 for April. I am very pleased with that. I think doing the fiscal fast has helped me. I do tend to pop in the shop for things that i really don't need and that has helped to keep me on track.
    Well done to everyone else.

    Hi all

sorry I've been so absent, I'll sort myself out with May's challenge, I promise!

Declaring £50+/£50 for April as unfortunately I spent some from other budgets on groceries and just lost track totally of everything ever!

    Gah!

New start in May, heading over there now!

I got that Panasonic bm for my birthday last year and it is fab! The only time we buy bread now is if it is reduced to pennies at the sm. we have made so many types of loaf and pizza dough and had great results each time. I definitely recommend.
What do you think of the "plasticky" lid? Someone on another thread didnt like the lid but I probably won't worry about it but any thought appreciated!;)
Ive just redone my main food cupboard to try to have some method! I bought some extra plastic baskets for all of the sauce mixes and curries-thanks AP Foods I've gone a bit mad!
Going to make green thai curry today but have no coconut milk so it will have to be evap milk or cream! Divided up nearly 3 kilos of green thai paste from the big tin a wlile back from AF put in 400g portions in the freezer. Also divided up 2 tins of tomato puree into 200g portions and froze that.:j
So Ive now got a bit more room for the other stuff in the cupboard.
going to make sausage cassserole also today using some of my packet sauces. Thought Id do something cheaper than a roast dinner and have a change. I was going to make pizzas or bread but we have loads of bread so thought Id do the curry.
Ive got out a huge tin of grapefruit. Has anyone ever frozen tinned grapefruit? I think it would be fine but if youve done it please let me know.;)

Update: Made the curry with evaporated milk and its lovely! I think its actually better than with coconut milk-not a great fan of that anyway! So-lower in fat, lower in cholesterol and cheaper!
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults
