April 2012 Grocery Challenge

Closing April with an overspend of £120. It is getting to be a bit of a pattern. On the upside I am sure it would be much worse if I wasn't monitoring it. The tips and support on this forum are fantastic and I need to get much better at following them. OH and I had a good chat on Sat and he is fully on board so that will help. See you over on the May forum.0

Hello!
Final spend of the month today since I get paid tomorrow. Got milk, garlic and a bag of baking potatoes from Mr S for £3.33. Decided to use £2.50 worth of Nectar points towards it (I've been saving these up but I don't know what for - the 'rewards' never appeal to me, so I may as well use them on normal shopping!). So 83p to add to total.
That means for the first time since I rejoined this year I have come under budget! Declaring £113.78/£130. :j
VERY pleased with that, and my freezer is still pretty stocked up too!
Well done everybody and see you over in May.

No spends today, so can declare!
I have £17.01 in my grocery purse, left from the original £40, so my cheapest month ever! (Only because I've been living out of the fridge, freezer and cupboards as much as possible.)
So, here we are:
£17.01 left from £40, so have spent only £22.99!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
