A weekend spend of just £36 in A*8dis today..OH was most impressed with how much we got......dont think I can shop there every week as there are things at MrMs I will need sometimes but will certainly going more often.
A sneaky chinese for tea..OH really fancies one and need to keep his appetite up as he has lost weight since being ill..he is paying too so not out of GC money:T
Need to look in Freezer for tomorrows tea...I must have sausages in there somewhere if so it will be toad in the hole for sunday dinner... a bit fed up of roast chicken and we cant really afford anything else...with there being 8 of us a decent size joint of meat is almost unaffordable nowadays.
Looking forward to the May challenge but staying here till the last..I will keep these spends down xxxxFeeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies

I bought the cherry tomatoes in Aldi today but am not very impressed they are quite soft and I dont think they will last long,
I also bought Bananas at 68p kg, 7 banannas and thought that quite good, but I then went to Morrisons , their Cherry Tomatoes were much better and only 1p more and their Banannas were the same price and much better looking.
On the other hand Aldis family pack mushrooms 750 grm
for £1.09 were excellent and looked much better than any that Mr M had. Also Aldis kiwi 8 for 59p and lovely big Oranges
6 for 59p were great. I also got Coconut milkat 49p a can.
Soooo on the whole Ithink Aldi won.Slimming World at target0 -

[QUOTE Nearly had a heart attack as I wrote this - crash/bang from the kitchen - Mr F went to the cupboard - something fell out! Strange how when I go to the cupboard - nothing falls out!
Mr F is SO clumsy![/QUOTE]
I am soo feeling for Mr F at the moment. I am sitting here laughing but it's in sympathy as much as anything. Things frequently fall out on me tooLast year I got mild concussion after a glass jar of honey fell from the cupboard and hit me on the head  The honey situation got so bad that I now only buy it in plastic jars
Here's to a accident free, pain free weekend.

Clumsy Mr F knocked my grater out of a cupboard today. Mr F is still so bruised from his fall. I have removed the steri strip and the gash seems to be sealed - can't see where it is really - he has Denis Healey eyebrows! I have left the top plaster off today as I did yesterday - just put one on at night it case he rubs the gash open again on the pillow.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Tesco have got their value spaghetti (dried variety)on offer as BOGOF at the mo-2 500g packs for 35p. Thats enough for 10 servings of 100g each which is what I use. I do weigh out pasta and rice to avoid waste!
Lidl do pasata cheap-last time I looked it was 29p for 500ml but may be 39p now. They also sell dried oregano in a glass jar for just 49p and garlic granules(not horrible garlic salt)real dried garlic also 49p approx. I keep these as staples. Add whatever whoopsied mince, soya(dried)vegimince or just veggies to this and you should get a serving for 50p per person. Top off with strong chees(you use less of it). Tesco have Australian cheddar on offer at present for under £5 per kilo.
Ive had another App foods delivery today(stuff boxed under the dtairs now)and the cupboards are totally chocca!
They have minced beef 2 kilo on offer(well 2 days ago)and chicken 2 kilo also in the big foil bag. Got some lovely rich fruit cakes-like Xmas cake but no icing. Very good quality for £2.99 each.Yorrkshire t bags are on there at 49p for 80 but this only came on today so I missed that one! Good job really as Ive got enough tea for a couple of years! OK-third world war is not on its way(ahhh don't disagree)and Im not feeding the troops either but Im hooked on bargain shopping!
As a result of my good spending I may treat myself to this:

Got all my old music and unwanted films up together the other day and sold to a game shop for just under £12 so then spent the credit on a wii game for dd. A space in the cupboard and a happy dd. Normally they just end up in the charity shop so not bothered about low return-just glad to get something for them.
I got that Panasonic bm for my birthday last year and it is fab! The only time we buy bread now is if it is reduced to pennies at the sm. we have made so many types of loaf and pizza dough and had great results each time. I definitely recommend.GC Mar 11 £437.08Apr 11 £459.26 May 11 £485.52 June 11 £423.79July 11 £409.22 Aug 11 £250.10Sept 11 £396.14Oct 11 £382.37Nov 11 £372.55Dec 11 £332.29 Jan 12 £375.19:Feb 12 £349.58Mar 12 £279.66Apr 12 £249.12May 12 £337.66/Jun 12 £362.58/Jul 12 £317.03/Aug 12 £354.02/Sept £439.72/Oct 12 £210.160 -
I'm declaring at £100.55 for April of a £120 budget. So far in 2012 my GC budget has been £441.03 out of a £470 budget so I am under budget to the tune of £28.97 so far for 2012 :j*** PROPHECY_GRRL****** DEBT FREE AS OF 17/10/11 - I DID IT!!! ***0

I was planning on going to Sainsbugs just before closing, to look for YS whoopsies, but seeing as there is a gale blowing outside, as well as pouring rain.........so today MAY turn into a NSD
I have JJ's herby cheesey bread left and LO tinned ham.
I am baking bacon and cheese turn overs and then later chicken & rice pasties, using 1/2 a pack of frozen puff pastry that has been drying out in the freezer for months.
So todays food will be some sort of combination from those!
And I have frozen some of the bread already and hopefully there will be left over "bakes" to freeze too.......for when I get tempted by Greggs - home made is better! :T0
