Thanks Tattycath.
It may be a challenge but you have to be in it to win it. So being in the race means you're a winner in the making.
Good luck. Every penny counts

Lovely weekend doing sproglet catch ups. Saturday wasn't very MSE but today was. Saturday I treated em to lunch out. Was a good catch up, cos being grown-ups, one living away and all us with busy jobs/ lives we rarely are in the same place together. Today DD, her fiance, their puppy, OH and me went on an 8 mile cross country walk. Took about 4 hours and we brought sandwiches etc for a bit of a picnic.
Still waiting for the remortgage completion. Bit fed up now cos my current lender's direct debit went out on 1st March. If the new lender's goes out this month I will NOT be impressed. Set up internet banking yesterday with new lender and the balance is zero, so hopefully it will be next month when first payment goes out. Will call mortgage broker tomorrow to find out.
Good news is..I won a tenner on the lottery yesterday. That's going to the OP pot. Need to phone previous energy supplier too as I dunno what's happened to the rebate I'm due. So many unknown's and frustration. Makes me wonder if all this MSE is worth the stress and uncertainty. But of course it is. It'll get sorted.
Happy Sunday

Good things come in 3's right enough!
:jThe remortgage is complete!!!!
:j:jI have an interview for promotion **gulp**
:j:j:jMy energy rebate is on it's way (£108)
First (rather large) mortgage payment goes out beginning of April. I need to wait till I get told how much it'll be before I work out what will be paid back in OP's but I've set up the internet banking thingy so will be able to track how the interest is per day (currently I've paid just over a tenner..in one day! Scary when you look at it but will be good knowing I can see that amount coming down regularly.

On the not so nine o'clock news tonight....
I got the promotion - 10 month secondment to higher pay band, more responsibility and damn good experience to add to CV ! It's temporary but hey, adds a little bit to the OP pot so all good
Managed to lock myself out of internet mortgage banking thingy so awaiting the letter allowing a reset. Silly mare that I am. I did get a rebate on mortgage settlement but there's a discrepancy so waiting for a further cheque. To make it clearer for myself I've decided to update my siggy on here with the increased balance of £100,500, and deduct the refunds accordingly. In theory it should then result in a balance of around 99,700 when all money paid in cos my March direct debit went out to previous lender and too late to be reflected in the refund. We'll see anyway.
Off to catch up on diaries on here. Happy days xx0 -
Congrats, great news :T:T:TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

Many congratulations on your promotion. You will be brilliant at it, no doubt.
SquirrelPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Congrats on the promotion. Are you going to sent your payrise to the mortgage OP pot? That's what I plan to do with my whopping £500 annual rise - first one in 5 years.0
