They ripped both wing mirrors off, damaging the bodywork and therefore needing a paint and bodywork repair :( It's not good at all !

In brighter news... it's day 12 of dryjanuary.... we rock!!
  • Been out of action for anything but work until Friday just gone because....
    We had the inspectors in!
Yep, a week long Care Quality Commission inspection that I clocked up over 15 hours overtime in the prep and work for last weekend alone! So I'm having tomorrow off work in lieu of some of that. As one of the lead people for my organization a lot of the stuff fell to me to ensure it was sorted both before and during the week.

So the MFW stuff, including meal planning and money monitoring has been on hold. Today and tomorrow are going to be spent catching up on all that and scanning in random paper - recipes, housey tips etc cut from magazines - into my comp and backing up onto the external drive.

Yesterday I did a food shop WITH A LIST! and spent £75 on stuff that will keep us in meals for about 2 weeks. not too bad, could be better but hey...I had a stressful week. I needed those crisps!!! and they were 2 bags of 18 for £5 :) Yesterday also saw me giving bathrooms and my bedroom a good clear out. Got rid of loads of old toiletries that were either part used and horrible or almost empty and too old to want to use.

Will do my money balance later and update my siggy thing..prob tomorrow cos I need to get this paper mountain gone!

Hmm not been MSE at all in the last few weeks, with the excess on the car repairs to pay and £200 for the kitchen ceiling to be plastered !!

On the upside, the house should be on the market in the next few weeks (once I decorate the kitchen) and the valuation showed a few thousand increase in value since I bought the place 3 years ago. OH and I are decluttering him slowly so that he can get his house for sale too.

Hopefully, when we have one house between us and one lot of bills instead of 2, with 2 salaries to pay it we can be mortgage free quicker than my 2027 date so far!!

That's the plan..right...let's see what spanner will be thrown in to mess THAT up ..!

Decisions have been made and my house is on the market as of yesterday. OH's will be within the next week or so.
And so I have decided to stop keeping this diary thingy and will set a new one up as and when we move house. I'll have far more time instead of living between 2 houses, two lots of housework etc.

So, for now, i'll pop around other diaries when I can and maybe enter a wave into them now and again. Still need to give support when needed and to keep getting all the fantastic money saving ideas. I love reading about how others on the forums manage the nips n' tucks to make the pennies stretch.

Im the meantime, for anyone reading this, it's been a great journey keeping this diary up and thank you for everyone who has contributed to it. See you later and keep the good work up xx
