All the best for the new year pix

I keep hearing good things about the actifry. Are they easy to clean?

  • Cheers for the good luck wishes PD. I'm gonna need it those come Jan 1st :)

The Actifry Plus is dead easy to clean. All the dirtyable parts - bowl, lid and stirrer are detachable and dishwasher safe. I love it big time

I'll join you in dryjanuary pix:A

Tell you what, let's also both hold hands and keep posting throughout 2014!
    February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
    MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
    C'mon nattypants:cool:
  • Good plan Natty but we can't hold both hands cos we'd have to type with our toes, and I'm NOT taking my lovely toastie sox off :)

Dryjanuary here we come ... and my other NY resolution is to avoid the supermarket drinks aisle, especially when the wine festivals are on in there. Too easy to justify buying alcohol "cos it would make a nice pressie" !

From memory, I think last year I managed to last until April ... or perhaps I am making that up. If only I CBA to check my own diary!!!

I found bitter lemon and ice worked a treat last year so may purchase a couple of bottles in preparation;)

  • I'm going to overdose on hot chocolate for the 3 months Natty. I've got 2 half full litre bottles of Baileys left from christmas that I think probably won't keep until my 3 month sentence is over :( And lots of wine, some gin and an opened bottle of port. OH is going to take them all to his house to stop me being tempted to have a swig when I'm at home lol

    HAPPY NEW YEAR _party_
Day six of DryJanuary and ticking along nicely :) Despite having a godawful day last friday I didn't reach for the booze and sailed into this week with a polished halo and an untouched drinks cupboard!
In other news...well, there isn't any really. Still putting the pennies into the pot but I have a few tasks to complete that might make life a wee bit easier when it comes to overpaying the mortgage this year.
Task one - get the mortgage account linked to my bank to pay into it online...only taken a year to get that one sorted...best do it eh?
Task two - find pots to put the 10p/20p and 50p's in for overpayments..and use them!!
Task three - keep focussed and stop faffing around with ambitions to overpay then buying a smelly candle/ DVD/ takeaway etc instead!
Task four - read other diaries on here and be more active in them.
Task five - learn to like drinking water - it's free, doesn't rely on sugar/milk/energy to heat the water and is calorie free ;)

Gawd i'm exhausted writing all that! All bets are off when it comes to seeing how many of these I actually achieve!! :rotfl:
  • Good morning diary and how are you? :)
Have achieved diddly squat since last entry until today when I updated my fridge freezer list. Going to do a quick tilly tidy when i'm finished my water (hack spit!) Oh..that was on my task list so I have achieved one!!
Had a nightmare week. On 2nd January my car was vandalised (one of the reasons why Friday was so pants!) and finally got the courtesy car via insurance on Wednesday after much hassle and phone calls. Gonna cost over £1000 to fix but my excess is £200 so not too bad, bad bad enough :(
In more upbeat news..yes I do have some occasionally...OH and I are getting both our houses ready to sell and plan to buy one together...arghhh....scary but nice at the same time, cos it'll cut out my nightmare commute to work, save living between 2 houses (which is a nightmare ..imagine 2 lots of decorating/ bills/ housework) and give us some free time and hopefully a bit of spare dosh to throw at the joint mortgage when it happens! Hopefully getting my house on the market in May (as I don't want to move till after first week in August when DD gets married) and OH will be similar I think as his needs more work than mine.
Going to do my money balance ina bit and freak out cos christmas spends will be a scary one, even though I think i was careful. Will need a brave tummy for that one so might do it tomorrow instead ;)
Off now to meal plan for the week :)
