The more varied the evidence the better. Emails can be forged.
Most evidence can be forged or planted. To forge an email requires some motive on yvonne's part. Which makes no sense.

data protection act? Someone has accessed your personnel file when they have no need to look at it and passed on info!

    This bloke should be sacked!

They can find out whom accessed my file as our system time logs everything with user names/passwords ect

This could prove whom's log on accessed my file but maybe not the actual person.

He sent the email using the work Blackberry mobile.

ah but remember we have had a log on issue on here before where you are not meant to log on to any IT systems with someone elses passwords. That itself in some companies is a sackable offence.

Please let us know what happens, I can't believe this man thinks he can get away with this! If you did employ this girl not only would you have trouble working with her, but you'd look bad at your job as people would wonder why on earth you had employed her. If he's employing all his family it's only a matter of time before he starts asking for jobs to be created!

You are right but some people do give out there log ons for whatever reason e.g to check any emails ect.

My staff have been told not to do this as they have access to log on from home, and if I do find out different they will no longer report to me.

Be careful how you progress with this.

Follow the trail of evidence, he is subordinate to your position, yet he still lays the request at your door and implies god knows what if you don't comply. He has already been successful with previous requests of a similar nature.

What can he bring to bear if he decides to take you on?

Did the bloke email you from the works email though or one from his phone or home?
