Parking Eye Parking Charge Notice

Hello,
First of all sorry I know there are plenty of threads about this but I would just like a response to my own personal case!
I received a Parking Charge Notice from Parking Eye this morning for £60 if I pay before April 3rd, otherwise the charge is £90. I visited Telford Welcome Break with a friend for a coffee last week and we overstayed our visit by 57 minutes. Rightly so there are signs all over the car park stating maximum 2 hours free parking, honestly I didn't even look at these signs (even though they're planted all over the car park!) so I am in the wrong here in that sense. However I see many posts simply saying to ignore all these letters. Even though I am in the wrong am i ok to ignore these letters? Is there anything else I need to be aware of?
Thanks in advance

Simple answer ? YES - ignore. All aboard the Gus Bus !0

Technically you were in the wrong (your words) because they have a two hour limit and if you want to stay longer its £8 I think to stay for up to 24 hours.
So again technically you owe them £8, but they are not asking you to cover their loses they are trying to impose a penalty because you overstayed.
Signs or no signs they are entitled to recover there losses not charge you silly contractual penalties. Ignore them and the usual letter chain, they will go away as usual!0 -
Thanks for your very quick responses! I was on the Parking Eye website all ready to put in my bank details to pay the £60 when I decided to Google them first - so glad I did now.
Thanks again for the help :-)0 -
Also do not visit the services again, they have made it quite clear they do not want your custom.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Hang on, we are not saying you CAN'T park there again! Of course you can, nothing will happen except the letters you know!
We just meant consider voting with your feet (wheels) and not giving Starbucks your custom. But another approach would be to park there as normal but make a formal complaint to the Managers of the retail occupiers about the parasite PPC; or park there as normal and deliberately overstay now you know about the scammer in the car park. Take your time now...:DPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

what you have from parking spy/lie/pie is merely an unenforceable invoice, so just ignore, its officially called,,a PARKING charge notice,,meaning,,useless/loo paper/,,,if you ever recieve the genuine article it is called,,, a PENALTY charge notice, meaning, legit, must pay and only can be issued by police or traffic warden,,,parking lie try to con you into falling for rtheir scam,,,dont worry about future threat o grams you wil recieve in the post from the clowns roxburghe (we have zero powers) debt collectors and the phoney solicitor ,,graham white,,,they are all part of the same scam,,so its safe to ignore,,come back for reassurance antime,,remember ignore,,also a word of warning,,if you recieve a pm asking for more details,,do not reply post on here before replying, for reassurance its not a parking lie troll trying to get info from you.0

Think of all the extra coffee you can buy by not paying Parking Eye...:)A PPC is not just for Christmas...with a few CCJ threats you should have enough toilet paper to last well into the new year.....0
