    (((((Hugs)))))))

So sorry you got the news you dreaded. A cuppa seems a darn good place to start, chocolate biccie to go with it? How about making a list? I don't know what line of work you are in but getting onto an employment agency maybe for some temp work for now.

thats awful pauliesgirl, its terrible that nobodys job is secure these days, big hugs to you
hugs to scuzz as well, the sun is out but its a bitter wind and snow on the hill, enjoyed having ds1 and fdil here, they gave me a nice book and some things for the car which will be handy to keep in the boot, kyle is home from costco with a tray of oranges and a big box of persil for me, will pay for the oranges though, we got some of the spare room cleared out, mostly school and uni papers and books to sort through now

    hugs to everyone xx
  • Hey guys

Thanks for the hugs - I needed them.

I share an office with my boss, and cos he's not here I'm feeling very lonely. My colleagues have been avoiding me in the corridor like redundancy is contagious or something.

I have a pile of CVs on my desk ready to post out tonight. I'm in Health and Safety, I'm studying for my qualification at night classes.

I can't see the bank giving me a mortgage now. Maybe I'm looking on the blackside... or maybe that's my mascara in my eye...

We will all be crossing everything we can think of and hoping you can get an even better job.

Maybe your immediate boss will feel bad not letting you know and have some ideas for places to try.

Spent the morning getting three loads of washing done and on the line outside.

Will make a quick pasta dish for DDs soon. Having a play on the computer took up too much time so will have to conjure up something for tea.

    Hello. thought I'd introduce myself!

I've ony just started to explore the billions of OS tips, there's so much to absorb and learn. I'm determined to change my wasteful ways, starting today by washing my windows using vinegar and newspaper (they're 100x cleaner than they look after my DH does them with WUL!)

I'm a 40 year old (actually turned 40 last week, huge party with surprise guest - my Dad - and rather too much alcohol!) mum of three teenagers, I hate housework so I do the bare minimum, I prefer to spend my time painting :D I've yet to find out how viable the OS way is for my way of life.

I'll have a major challenge educating my family to do without naughty, expensive junk food, my DH being the worst

None of my family drive, so it's public transport or Shankses pony for shopping.

Anyway, it's nice to meet you all, I think I'll learn alot!

I hope you manage to find something else a.s.a.p. - sign up to some agencies straight away just in case a permanent job is a bit longer in coming. It should tide you over at least. Enjoy that cup of tea.

Welcome to madmum33 - you've reminded me how badly I need to clean my windows! :o

  • Beef in beer dish is finished in SC - use reduced stewing beef and a bottle of bitter left from a bbq last summer!
Made a loaf in the BM - bit flat for some reason (new pack of yeast so might be a problem)
Steak and kidney pie filling on the go at the moment in SC

Have sliced up mushrooms and green peppers to freeze before they go off.

Don't know if I fancy beef for dinner though - might be naughty and freeze instead.

Will have to think what else to cook......
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D
