Scuzz - ((((Hugs)))) I have a dd your age and I am amazed at just how much you are doing and how well you are coping. Try not to let it all get you down as you can quite rightly hold you head up with pride. Any chance you can treat yourself? Fingers crossed that things will get better soon.
Fingers crossed for you too Paulies Girl! (((hugs))) as well.

You just have to work out the best price now, over trying to sell it in the future as it will be perceived out of date. That is why it will be a bargain now.

Good Afternoon All
Cant beleive the time - still feels like morning.
Been running around today, dropped car at garage and popped into tescos there as had a free gift card. Turned out could only use it on books, cds, dvds or flowers. So treated myself to a couple of books and a lovely bunch of lillies. Then returned a top to next and then went to Asda to get DS some new school trousers and some cheap towels.
Now in my office just about to sort my massive in pile whilst awaiting call from garage to say car is done.
Shez - healty eating here also, made easier by looking round next this morning at clothes that wont fit me at the moment! Good Luck.
Happy Birthday Smokeybabe & Mr Pink.
(((Scuzz)))
Best get on now, just had chicken sandwhich on wholemeal for lunch and probably will be chicken, salad and jacket for tea.
Have a great day.0 -
Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them and a very happy birthday to Smoky Babe.
Well my time off seemed to fly by at double speed but thoroughly enjoyed myself. We had my lovely SIL plus her family on Sat and we filled them to the gunnels with HM pasta bake and blackberry and apple crumble. It's surprising what OH found in my freezer when he defrosted it. I'd got icecream tubs filled with various stewed fruits which I had done precisely nothing with! Yesterday he was very old style and made a double batch of pastry [he's frozen half] and with one half made a beef and onion pie [leftover beef] and then small blackberry and goosegog pie and an apple pie and he cooked all this plus a chicken which is going to be made into a chicken and mush pie with the other pastry next weekend and only used the oven once. Hopefully that'll counteract the fact that we inadvertently left the oven on all Sat pm:rotfl: :rotfl:
Today's OS has been bin out and ironing to be done as the small person goes back to school tomorrow. Am also pressing ahead with my current Xstitch project as want to start something new. My friend loved her sequinned box full of some of my favourite quotes and tells me she's going to add some of her own.
Have a great day

Hi Yall, Very sunny but cold here in the emids.
I've got quite a busy week planned. It is only a 4 day week because on Friday I will drop the MATHLETTS at school and head to the coast alone!! Armed with my trusty VAX I'm gonna give our place at the coast a good airing and fettling ready for the spring:j and then come back on Sunday. I may have to eat some fish and chips while I am there of course to keep my strength up:rolleyes: It's hard work cleaning init. LOL
I wagged down to the post office this morning with all my ebay parcels. It's the first time I've done any volume ebaying (10 items constitutes 'volume' to me LOL) There is a bit more faddling about than I first thought there would be but I've made nearly £60 on stuff that I would have chucked so that ain't too bad.
My bank refunded all my bank charges over the last 6 years this morning:j so with that buring a hole in my pocket I may go completely wild on Skegness High Street at the weekend. how many 'kiss me quick' hats can you buy for £400
:rotfl:
While I was in town I sold some of Mrs MATH's jewelery (with her permission:D ) she doesn't wear it and it costs money to insure the stuff so we have hard cash hitting us from all directions;) I'm learning to like it!
I've been waiting in for Mrs MATH's DoCraft stuff to be delivered today (it still hasn't arrived) whats the betting they try to deliver it while I'm on the school run. Mrs MATH keeps ringing on the hour as she has a demo to do on Friday and this is a whole new batch of products she needs to learn how to use and do demo cards and stuff. Que MATH up half Thursday night with gluey fingers trying to help out LOL
Higs to all (I'm gonna read the thread proper-like later):o

Afternoon all
Happy birthday Smokybabe, hope you've had a lovely day so far.
Scuzz - Sounds like you need a holiday - chin up.
Math - Well done on the bank charges - how many portions of chips will that buy!!!
Queenie - Cheeky vimtos??? Tell us more!
I too have been down at the post office this morning - 22 out of 26 ebayers paid yesterday so got those all packaged and out the way (I have a hall back now!!) This weeks auctions made £131 :j Have already spent £30 on more clothes for DD1 to replace the ones we sold - I wish they'd stop growing!
DH is off poorly still so when he had a bout of energy he cleaned the hoover out and ran it round for me - I've cleaned the fish tank out, swished and swiped the bathroom and 3 loads of washing are done and airing.....need to get my washing line installed again (job for the weekend).
Making spicy chicken pizza for tea from the last of the weekends leftovers, will do a salad with it and some HM coleslaw.
Hope you all have a great afternoon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Teenagers
Arggggh!!!! We give him a very basic for petrol and uni food. No socialising money. His current account is giving him a no charge/interest overdraft - what example is that to set to young people. He has lied to us about his money too - I have to open his post and I don't care if it is private, if it saves him, I will do what it takes! When he grows up, he will get the adult respect.
He won't look for work, at least he has stopped dipping into his savings but he is doing my nut. He says I am an adult but acts worse than he did at 5.

Hey all,
MD has just been to see me, cos my boss is on holiday.
They're making me redundant. 30 days from today.
I'd promised myself last week I wasn't gonna get upset about it, but now its happened, I did start to cry. (although I held it together with calm professionalism infront of the MD. dunno where that fascade came from!)
A very upset and worried PG has made herself a cuppa, and can't think what to do next, and I really can't face college tonight feeling like this
(called OH and parents already)
Thanks to everyone who had their fingers crossed0 -
