BargainRzl, I think I remember you saying your Mam still lives up here, has she tried Sadies ? It's in Consett, bras aren't cheap but excelllent fitting service.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • lil_me - yes, she has - she's definitely mentioned Sadie the Bra Lady! :D but she hasn't been there for AGES and as she keeps putting on and losing weight, she tends to need a kick up the bum to go and get new fittings done regularly!

First time I walked in she said 'Hello. That's the wrong size for a start, take it off and try this' :rotfl: I was in shock but she was right!

  • Hello again:wave: ! I haven't posted in AGES but I have been reading most days. Life has been very hectic and I just felt I wasn't OS enough or didn't have much to contribute but after reading the daily thread last week, I thought I would try and start posting again! I haven't read today's thread yet, so apologies if I have missed anything important.

DD went back to school today :D after half-term so house is lovely and quiet with just DS here - quietly playing with his trains.
Had to go to Post Office, then get some fruit and then visit library. Managed to get loads of withdrawn books from library - they let you fill a bag for £1 and always have a great selection.
Now home having a coffee and surf before unloading the first load from WM and then putting second load in.
Today is one of those days trying to clear all the debris from half-term.
    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning all!!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Slept through my alarm this morning  but managed to make it in on time...

Well, today the Consultative Committee meet and discuss the proposed redundancies... We'll get our letters on Wednesday (isn't that awful? you'd think they'd at least have the stones to do it in person)

I'm actually quite worried, cos my mortgage is going through, and if I did get made redundant, I'd be in a pretty pickle. _pale_

I've had an interview, and they seemed keen, but wouldn't make me an offer til their contracts are renewed at the end of the month. Would be cutting it very fine if I was axed here... :wall:

    Still... enough of my problems!

Big hugs to everyone else with things on their minds, and to anyone feeling under the weather... :grouphug:

Happy Birthday wishes to those lucky folk...

    Good morning All!!!

    Happy Birthday Smokeybabe!!! :bdaycake:

Was such a busy weekend and I have achieved hardly anything i set out to do. DH had the gall to make a comment about hoovering yesterday whilst sis in law was round!!! Needless to say he got a severe dressing down later and did apologise. So am feeling a bit dissatisfied with myself and can't see when I can get my freezer cooking done. I have choir tonight too so that will take up all evening and as for the hoovering well....

Hey ho, upside is DD got a distinction in her ballet exam. What a palaver for a four year old - she was practically flammable by the time I had managed to get her bun on and all the hair to stay put with lots of hairspray. Her comments were excellent and she is showing promise in dance which she loves. She has taken her medal in today to show her class.

Shez, have PM'ed you, am starting healthy eating this week too. Perhaps we can gee one another along. :D

Work is phenomenally busy at the moment, luckily my new trainee starts next week so she'll be able to help out. Lets hope she's better than the last one, had to fire her, very unpleasant.

We are about to lose our Broadband at home as we are swapping suppliers so may be offline for a while, hugs to all in need.

    Have a lovely day all!!!

(((((pAULIES gIRL))))) we cross posted, what a worry for you. Hope it works out.

  • Thanks Nels! :D I suppose it's not exactly that I'm reluctant to spend money on myself at all, more a case of "Is a big flashy TV what I really want?" There are any number of ways I could find to indulge myself for the cost of a decent TV, and the question is, do I want the TV that much?

I think the answer is YES so I will keep my eyes open over the next few weeks/months, ready to pounce on a good deal :D

lil_me - Bravissimo are the same as that, the fitter takes one look at you and then rushes off to find something that magically fits. And it is ALWAYS something that is much bigger in the cup and smaller in the back than you get if you measure yourself (or get measured) in the usual way. I love Bravissimo cos they are a whole "girly shopping experience" :D

Edited to say: Paulie's Girl, I hope it all works out ASAP, it must be a real worry for you with the house purchase all riding on it.

Is it afternoon or morning still? Have lost all track of time!

Been really productive this morning. it's amazing how a little bit of sunshine makes me feel a bit more industrious! I've hoovered, changed beds. hung the washing out because it's perfect washing weather - sunny and windy!

If it stays dry, I'll take my son up to the park for some more fresh air. ;) Hope everybody else is having good weather and feeling motivated!

I haven't had the chance to read through properly as yet. I tried to get on here earlier but my son took over and Nick Junior had priority!
