Since the latest upgrade , i struggle to navigate the site while using Google Chrome

Thanks for your feedback. We were unable to replicate any problem navigating the site in Google Chrome. The same is still true.

    Hi cyclonebri1,

Similar symptoms. Different cause. If I find a common cause I will post about it on this thread. Until then it's more useful to tackle these problems on a case by case basis. Thanks :).

Out of curiosity I have just tried my husbands laptop, it also did exactly the same as mine, freezes the whole laptop for a good 20-30 seconds, and then once opened will let you keep opening up fine. I am going to check his add-ons to see what ones are different to mine. He also runs IE 9.

p.typekit.net makes Chrome freeze (latest version)- mouse cursor won't even move for about 5-10 seconds, its as if computer has crashed. As soon as the p.typekit.net site has loaded, everything is then ok.

Works spot on in IE 9 though.

Thank you for this helpful post. As we are unable to replicate any problems here, this is exactly the kind of thing we need to know.

As posted on the closed hang thread, I'm still getting the same problem.

Laptop with Vista OS & Firefox version 12.0

I know from another forum that folks are having the same problem & due to it have given up coming to MSE :(

Edit to add - I'm only getting the hang/complete freeze with MSE & not any other website/ forum.

    Still experiencing screen 'hanging' problem.
    Windows 7, 64 bit, IE9 (compatibility view).
Just wondering whether it could be a network provider issue.
    I am with O2.

I think that's a little unfair, Ian is obviously working on this and is contacting people independently by pm to try and resolve it.

But I too simply cannot accept it is my problem, nothing has changed at my end, nothing else has the same issue, so as far as I can acertain the only change has been at the MSE end.

They will lose viewers if there are continued issues I think.

Maybe Ian needs help, without offence of course.:o
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Have PM'd you. I'll send you a report report tonight when I get in. It only does it the first time the site loads, I presume the file is then cached. Fiddler should give me more information, although I suspect if the computer does 'freeze' it may not calculate the time to load an external file accurately.
