Know it is not much use, but I always yell "get off the phone!" when I see them, I feel a bit better knowing that I have "done" something about it! Was a bit embarrassing the day I did it and got strange looks from people passing - then realised the window was open
A smile costs little but creates much

Thought it was just me that did that:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
i ride my motorbike for 12 miles each way in london each workday and I see a lot of drivers using phones - well, about 6/8 a day (not that much considering the amount of cars there are about though). it used to incense me but now i just tend to ignore it and get past them promptly.
if they do a mistake that makes me brake or swerve when they are on their phone they do still get a reaction though....
i'm tempted to get a video camera stuck onto my helmet and then create a youtube account shaming the blighters.0 -
Agree with everything except the underlined. The police are not fit or proper people to have this sort of power.marmitepotato wrote: »I have just got back home after walking my dog across some local fields. To get there I have to cross the A20, whilst waiting for the little man to turn green I counted FIVE people driving and talking on their mobiles. This cavalier attitude to their lives and everyone around them astounds me. It about time the police were able to give out instant two year driving bans along with a pretty hefty fine rather than sixty quid fine and three points. An instant ban on the first offence would surely make these idiot people reconsider the need to talk on their phones whilst driving.

I see them all time. A short trip of 15 minutes today I counted 3 just doing it. They just raise fines, do a few road traps get it publicized in paper about how many got caught, and then some people will finally get the message0

Agree with all the above! It's frightening to see so many professional drivers with a phone clamped to their ears.
Only today, I suggested that all new commercial vehicles could be fitted with good handsfree systems.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

6 years ago a guy drove into the back of my car whilst reading text messages on a mobile phone his passenger was holding up for him to read. He also smelt of alcohol but trying to get traffic out at that time of night was an impossibility and we couldn't have kept him there long enough.marmitepotato wrote: »I have just got back home after walking my dog across some local fields. It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
