I hate seeing these morons - around here it's the icing on the 'poor driving' cake dice no-one seems to understand how to use roundabouts, box junctions or their indicators either...
I did have a bit of a 'moment' at one of them - a few months ago, 9 months pregnant and even more careful of my personal safety than usual, I got in a taxi whose driver, just as he started to reverse down the road towards a roundabout, picked up his mobile to take a call. Not only did I go somewhat gonzo at him I also took his taxi registration and reported him to the Council. No idea whether anything ever came of it though...If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...0 -
During an early morning drive to work, a few months ago, a small van was sat in middle lane on motorway at 50mph. No other cars in sight, which drives me mental. I overtook, fighting the temptation to undertake, and saw the driver on the mobile. He seemed genuinley shocked at my ranting as I past him, almost as shocked as I was when I saw the BT logo blazened over the side of the van.0

Same round here then, lack of roundabouts and correct use of indicators are most common round here. Theres other road users too.0 -
This "mobile phone culture" we have nowadays really narks me. People on their phone/texting when driving, walking down the street, on the bus, in the supermarket. What could possibly be SO important that they have to do it there and then?
Another thing I've noticed, there seem to be an awful lot of people these days who don't strap their kids in the car. Always seems to a certain group of people who have more kids than there are seats in the car!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -

Maybe because there are loads of BT vans, but the amount of times I see a BT van driver on the phone whilst driving is incredible.0 -
I normally pip my horn at these idiots. Think, if you hear a pipping horn while on the phone, put yours down.

I would love to know how many of you posting here will happily light and smoke a cigarette whilst driving.
That disgusting habit annoys me just as much as mobile use.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I dont think phone jamming technology in a car would be popular. What about a passenger needing to use their phone? i dont drive but use my phone a lot especially when I'm on a long journey. If I am in the car with OH and his phone rings, I will answer. We were in a nasty accident a couple of years back, I had to dial 999 while still in the car, what about a situation like that?*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I was driving through Stratford upon Avon town centre on saturday morning. A Mitsubishi Warrior 4x4 joined my lane from the left and I could see the driver was on his mobile. His driving was very poor as we went through the town, going very slow and weaving, probably due to trying to drive whilst on the phone.
I started flashing my lights at him and then held down the horn for about ten seconds as we drove down one street. This is what I do now when I have somebody on the phone in front of me, I just hold down my hand on the horn. I`ve done it before alongside somebody, it's hillarious0
