Oooooh Pollycat, thought I was the only person in the whole world to use a handbag hook!! I keep being told I'm a right old fussyknickers when I use mine but after once plonking a really good bag on the floor of a restaurant and then finding a huge grease spot on it I don't care.

Did my last waltz round the local charity shops today till after Chrimbo. Got a pair of M & S patterned trousers in navy and claret, with a navy stripe down the sides, as new and £1.99 in the DEBRA shop. And I didn't spot a single B & H gifty set today....must all have been bought and wrapped ready to 'delight' the recipient:rotfl:

Fingers crossed that none of us actually get given a B&H set as a present, we won't be able to keep a straight face :rotfl:

:p Sssshhh! I have an Auntie who is fully capable of such a thing. She once gave me a pair of peach-coloured nylon frilly knickers (several sizes too small) and on another year a babyish mug with my name on (was in my thirties at the time).

I'd only get a B & H if she'd found one cheap in a chazzer (plausible) or won one as a draw prize/ bingo prize. Watch this space!:rotfl:

I haven't chazzered today (is that even a verb?!) as I came in from work at full scuttle, the city is manic with folks every which way. Home, into a tub, clothes into the washer, and a quiet evening planned. My bestie has plague, so we'll do our version of Christmas in the New Year, when she's recovered.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Me and my friends are ladies who handbag hook. ;)

I have lots of them and am quite put out when we get a table that isn't suitable to use one.

It's as much for security as it is for keeping my bags nice.

My friend bought me a Andy Warhol limited edition one with shoes on for my birthday - it's fab.

Spotted in my local C/S yesterday and snaffled for my DD a lovely large pyrex jug that holds a pint and a half for £1.49,didn't look as though it had ever been used a bargain as Pyrex is always worth buying as it lasts forever

I used to have a lovely Pyrex casserole dish which I used to make a chilli - on the hob. It exploded all over me. I was very young at the time and had no idea what I was doing.

Pollycat/Miro - I don't have a hook for my bag but I should really, I rest my bag on top of my feet with the strap between my knees to keep it off the floor - very awkward.

The kids finally finish school at lunchtime today, we have to come past one of the small towns we live near on the way home so we are calling in for a last trawl before Christmas.

Look on ebay (search 'handbag hook').
You can buy them for as little as £1.00 with free postage all the way from China. :D
The coloured stones are plastic in those but I have one that is glass that I picked up in a charity shop.

I like the ones that are in a circle, they usually have a couple of tiny magnets to keep them together but my Andy Warhol one is this:

A couple of years ago I walked into a friend's kitchen to find him making mulled wine in a Pyrex casserole dish on a gas hob. He couldn't understand why I ran out of the kitchen screaming :D

I have found at least 3 in charity shops so keep your eyes open. Lots of people don't know what they are cos they look strange when all folded up....usually to be found mixed in with the costume jewellery :)
