In Warrington, but I can't remember which shop as I went in a few. This was on a table marked "Everything on table 2 for £1". I found a pretty Next necklace to finish off a friend's present, and was looking for something else to make up the £1. Feel guilty now, they can't have known it should have been under the counter glass display shelf with £25 on it.
Perhaps they had tried to sell it for more and then just wanted it moved on. I've never really looked at Pandora jewellery and it does seem very hyped but I can see the sentiment behind it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I am so glad you said that as I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me as the dora stuff leaves me cold and I think of it as something for a child if it were not for the expense.
I was chatting to a dd a few days ago and found she thought much the same which was a relief.
I'm not into it either, or the Hot Diamonds tack 😁😁"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

If the 'dora floats your boat, go for it. It's a modern twist on the trad silver or gold charm bracelets which have now been out of style for 30+ years. P do serious business, their shops are always rammed, so they've obviously hit the sweet spot in terms of popular appeal, it's just going to be a bit disappointing for those folk who've spent serious money in the past and then try to realise some of that value in the future. But if the point of it is the sentiment, the cash value secondhand is neither here nor there, hey?
I only own costume jewellery and can't abide janglies on my wrists, irritates me and gets in the way of the keyboard and mouse.
Have bought nowt from chazzers today, only been in one staffed by pals after w*rk to wish them a merry christmas - good folks one and all, hurrah for all the chazzer vols and donors who make all this wonderfulness possible.:beer:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I have both the traditional charm bracelet and Pandora type. The traditional one is full. It brings back happy memories from my youth. A friend and myself were just comparing them the other week. The work on many of the charms was intricate and seems to have disappeared.
Pandora is overpriced with an extremely awkward clasp. There are several other types out there that are cheaper and easier to fasten. The beads are all interchangeable with the different brand of bracelet. So just ignore what they tell you in the shop. The work on many of the beads in no way compares with the old stuff.
But hey, it's an investment in memories and not money for me.0 -
Not the biggest bargain in the world but I bought a Lua glasses case - similar to this one but in deep purple with embroidered pink spots - for £1.00.
The velvet is lovely.
I'm not going to use it as a glasses case, it will be one of my 'survival kits' that I take out in my handbags.
They contain:
a pantie liner
mini nail file
pain relief tablets
diarrhoea tablets
a travalo with perfume in
RADAR key for disabled toilets. (For my Mum)
handbag hook
lipsalve
The bigger ones also have a little pen and notepad.0
