  • BHF clearance now has B & H gifty sets down to £1!

Got some overtrousers in Red Cross for £3.50. "Historic Scotland" branded (!!) so probably fairly weatherproof, hopefully.

Popped into a couple of CS looking for books for DH - no joy. Did spot a beautiful navy needlecord jacket - Escada for £3.99 - checked over it was perfect! Put it back on the rail for someone else to enjoy as now I'm retired I still have lots of smart clothing. Feeling quite virtuous ;)

DH got home from work early yesterday so we had a little wander in town before the school run and picked up a few bits

Ladies Levis 550 in long leg £1, these were originally priced at £9.99 and then onto the £1 rail with nothing inbetween. They are a relaxed boot cut and I don't really like boot cut but they are fairly straight and not tight at the top and then boot cut which I don't like. Fab condition too and genuine, I can recognise fakes easily.

Jack Wills Shrunken Boy Fit checked shirt - different shop, different £1 rail, originally £5.49, no markdowns.

Wool Fairisle cropped jumper for DD £3.50
Next Lift, Slim & Shape Jeans for DD £3.00
H&M LOGG Shearling lined hoodie in a damson colour £4.00 for DD.
H&M Plum coloured sweatshirt for DD £2
100% wool chunky hiking socks for DH £2.49 Brand new
Next mauve acid wash v neck top £3, this has a slouchy v and is longer at the back, I have a similar one in a slightly different style and despite not being from their tall range the sleeves are over my wrists - yay.

I tend to cut labels out if they are sewn into the back hem of the neck IYKWIM as they are generally so scratchy that they irritate my skin.

I have to remind myself that I am not a re-homing centre for hand knits and jeans.

Today I bought a ceramic tea light lamp, handpainted in Devon according to the label, it is the type which has a small lamp base then a shade with holes in to go on top, very pretty and only £2.

  • Oops, I ended up going into three charity shops today. I am having a ban on buying clothing for 2018 so I suppose I am allowed as it's still 2017.:p

    I bought:

2 blazer type jackets, 1 was Per Una.
2 long waterfall cardigans, both M&S.
    1 dark grey Principles jumper.
    1 green M&S jumper.
    Olive green t-shirt top.
Blue and white striped long sleeve Dotty P top.
Beige and white striped t-shirt top.
    Black and white Principles skirt.
    Flowery summer dress.

I also bought a teddy for my doggie and a book, Watching the English by Kate Fox. The book was £3 which was quite steep, but I read some of it in a cafe today as I was early.

    Altogether I spent £22.:A

Now that really is it for clothes shopping for the year and hopefully for next year! I will just read about the bargains on here and live vicariously through you guys.:rotfl:

  • A "jokey" Christmas present for a friend's husband: Delia Smith 'How To Cheat at Cooking', He's had to do all the cooking recently when my friend was ill. She had to draw a map so that he could find the kitchen! £1.30 from Barnados.
    Normal people worry me.
