I was pretty pleased with myself this morning.
I only popped into Barnardos to drop off some stuff. It's really cold and snowy here and I had a quick look for something cosy.
I picked up a longline pure wool sweater in moss green with a lilac pattern, not quite fair isle but similar with the pattern being lower, not round the neck. It's long and will keep my bum and hips warm.
    Edinburgh maker called Glenhusky.
Brought it home to be told by daughter that it's clearly a mans.....

I suppose it does have the look of a 1980s mans jumper, but I'll be wearing it regardless!paid£3.50

I'd wear it with leggings or jeggings and ankle boots. I think it would look great.

Yeah, that's my standard look family would like to get me out of the dreaded leggings and into"nice trousers and a jumper" territory but I don't feel so comfortable- or warm! Don't get me wrong I like to dress up from time to time, used to be dresses, now it's leggings and a pure silk tunic!

I just lurve M & S t shirts and have loads of them. My two favourite styles are...scoopy neck and sleeves to just above the elbow, (hides the wobbly arm bits!) and in winter - round neck with long sleeves....these I tend to wear under shirts, sweaters and even dresses - feels bit smarter than a proper vest! I never pay more than £1 in a charity shop for them. My oldest M & S t shirt must be over 20 years old....it started out red but has been washed so many times it is now pink!

:) I managed to make it down to the Everything 50p chazzer before it closed yesterday and came away with a new outfit for £1 - pair New Look office-appropriate trews and an Agenda tunic-style blouse in a fine cotton, salmon pink. Waiting to go through the wash cycle, trews straight into use but the blouse is summery so will have to wait for its season.

I think if we had a shop like this nearby it would be a double edged sword for me, I would probably have so much stuff I would be tunneling through it all.

Fully dressed in second hand clothes today, jeans are M&S relaxed slim (love this style) which were £3.99, vintage blouse (80's) with applique and pearl details £3 and Laura Ashley cable knit lambswool cardigan with little bobbles on £4.99, when I go out I am wearing my long puffa parka coat which was a CS buy too.

I'm still on my search for black tops and found a Gap long sleeved loose fitting top in what feels like silk but isn't.
It has discreet black sequins from high at the sleeve to the neckline, front & back (if this makes sense).
Long back zip which has been put in very nicely.
It has soft shoulder pads which I'm not sure about but they are only loosely sewn in if I decide I want to remove them.
    BNWT £39.50.
    £3.99 Barbados.
