I am probably being a bit dim here but is Boden a make I should know?

I have never heard of it (apart from on this thread) and I have never seen any Boden items in CS. :o

It's a great brand, quite classic items. I believe they have one shop in London but it's mainly mail order. I love their stuff.

I have a great jersey wrap around dress I got in CS for £5.

Meant to reply to this yesterday and forgot :o. I've been disappointed in Liverpool, well charity shop-wise that is, as I love the city and waterside.

I've only found a couple - there a Scope (I think) next to Tesco Express opposite Debenhams, which used to be good but recently their prices have become ridiculous.

Also there's a BHF (again, I think - forgive me for not taking more notice) if you come out of Central Station (when it's operational!) and turn left by the cake shop in the precinct, then left again and it's a few yards along that road. I'm not too familiar with Liverpool so excuse the lack of road names.

Would be interested to know if there are any more that other people know of. When I've paid £4.70 for my return train/bus ticket to get there it would be good to do a proper tour, although I'm quite happy perusing the wonderful department stores too!

Don't know about the centre as rarely go there these days but if you went to Lime Street and got on a train to Huyton(if you have the day saveaway the journey is covered) there were - is a few months since I have been - quite a few charity shops in the shopping area which were good. Journey from Lime Street to Huyton takes 10/15 mins again a good while since I have done it.
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

    Fashion on a ration coupon 2021 - 21 left
  • 5 more vintage Enid Blyton books to add to my collection - 50p each :D and a pair of almost new Thomas Tank slippers for DS in the next size up £1.25.

it's a staple for the so-called yummy mummies out there, so it's quite a 'safe' brand if you want to look nice and still be stylish. personally, it's overpriced and not that interesting enough for me to shop in (due to it's popularity tho', their designs have become much better).

Today I got a gorgeous jumper for 50p. It reaffirmed my advice of not ruling out something if it isn't your size. This jumper is a 16, I'm an 8/10 but it looks great oversized with skinnies.

After weeks of famine - I hit gold this week! Three great items for £8!

Fine knit knee length BHS lambswool/acrylic dress in a gorgeous soft pinky purple shade for only £3.99! in really nice condition - will earn its keep this winter without a doubt

    ...and deep joy!

Oxfam in Brigg were selling all ladies clothing at half marked price.... I bagged an immaculate tweed Per Una jacket for £2.49 - perfect for autumn instead of a cardi!

... also from the Oxfam half price sale - an really luxe black and silver thread lacy top with pretty silver bead trim round the neck line for £1.49 - so that's Christmas do's sorted too! :)

There were lots of lovely ladies clothing items - and the shop was busy - just hoping that the sale is still on next week & I can bag a few more bargains to be ready for winter

    2017 Grocery challenge £110.00 per week/ £5720 a year

  • I'm starting to get into my stride with charity shops and root and I'm doing much better, got OH a pair of jeans for £3.80 - his job means that they are ruined easily so usually I just buy the £5 ones from the supermarket in with the shopping every few weeks - these charity shop ones are so nice in his words they are not going to be used for work - I feel ridiculously pleased!
