Went into Cancer UK as I'm on the lookout for some dressy tops. Nothing caught my eye in that department BUT I did manage to spend £20+: chunky Zara cardigan, bright green Hobbs cardigan, fine knit Jigsaw jumper, fawn pashmina and long, jade White Stuff scarf. As well as that I bought 2 birthday cards. I buy all my basic cards there. It's strange that most of us buy charity Christmas cards but charity birthday cards are excellent too.:)
    Some good makes there, maman.

Not much to report this week....just a 50p M & S dark turquoise T Shirt that appears to be brand new and a very pretty and solid large toiletries bag - just perfect for my large stash of make-up! Bit overpriced at £2.99 I thought, even tho new, but I liked it a lot and it does the job of keeping all my bits tidy. T shirt from hospice sale and bag from Oxfam(!).

A It is the only £1 charity shop I have seen.

A local Chest Heart & Stroke is a 99p store :money:

    Unless it's cheaper.

Picked up a couple of nice picture frames for, um, 99p each. I have some cat prints which I colour photocopied from a library book ages ago, so that's them framed for a lot less than buying framed prints would cost.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

some awesome bargains on here, I especially love the cheese handle!

I took my children charity shopping today. The blue one (aged 8) got yet another vintage Beano annual for his collection for £1- he has an entire shelf filled with them and a cabinet full of old Beano comics, along with the ones he has delivered each week. He also got a Dennis the Menace storybook for another £1.

The pink one (aged 2 and a half) got a beautiful Crayola suitcase with colorful pictures of animals and fairytale castles all over it, full of crayons, long and short pens, none of which had been used. It's gorgeous and it was only £4! I can't believe someone gave it away.

She also got a Fireman Sam book for £1 and a blue elephant cuddly toy that warms up in the microwave for £2. She's gone to sleep snuggled it to it tonight.
