A Boden jersey dress, long sleeves, just-on-knee length.

Fabulous fabric, navy with splodges of fuchsia, yellow, jade etc so I can wear either thick navy tights or pick out any of the other colours (I have a big selection).

£4.49 from Cat Protection but would probably have been around £90 new.

M&S linen jacket in stone for dh - fully lined with the spare buttons still in the plastic bag in the pocket -£7.50. And exactly the right size.

It was a bit of an emergency as we are moving house and his work jacket had been packed in a box and we had no idea which one. So we were only looking for a jacket that would vaguely do -and instead found a perfect one.

MrsLW - just a note about Hotters, I've read some reports that the sole rots if not worn regularly. :)
  • I went looking in my local Hospice charity shop, and found nothing, I think finding the decent books there has peaked. I looked in Shelter, but there was nothing there and they had a board outside saying they are desperate for donations. I don't like that Shelter use chuggers, and I overheard once the volunteers complaining about the quality of donations. It put me off donating there. I was a bit perturbed to see the Scope shop with its shutters down, hopefully it was just a one off.
  • Thanks POLLYCAT, I'll check them regularly, I've got a couple of pairs in use at the moment and one of them is 3 years old, seems OK so far. These will replace a pair of boots that may or may not see me through the winter, thanks for the heads up love x.
