I was sorely tempted by a pair of italian leather shoes, with wedge heel, didn't look as it they had been worn much, but my late Mum always said people shouldn't wear hand me down shoes as a lot of ailments can be caught from them. Mind you, I often have my daughter's cast offs, but suppose that doesn't count! I am still regretting not buying them....they were lovely:(0

I use anti-bacterial hand gel on the inside of shoes, I think that would kill most things. I wipe them out first and then let a good amount of gel air dry.0

I spray inside with antibacterial spray and let them dry out, and have never had any problems.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

My Dad always said that to me too. An aunt of his had said it to him and from then on he would never buy second hand shoes, and it put me off too. Although I have been known to buy them if they look virtually as new.
I have a hand foam from boots which is an anti-viral one, so I would just put some of that in.0 -
